Would not adapt to and fit our Stihl trimmer

I have a couple of trimmers and mostly I fine they work fine for trimming around trees and by stone walls when used on grass or grassy weeds. However, in areas of tougher vegetation, I'm tapping on the spool using up a lot of line as it's just not enough for woody growth.I've seen and used blades on my larger trimmers before to use in areas where small saplings have grown in and I've wanted to try the attachment that works like string, but can take more punishment. This kit has both.It takes a little fiddling around to mount these, but it comes with all the hardware, which would cost you extra if you went to get these items at a garden or big box store. Also, it likely would cost you double just to buy the individual cutting heads and with this, you get both.I went back to the seller's Amazon page to see how to install these and it wasn't that hard...just took a little time to be looking at the pictures on line to see how it all comes together.I didn't mount the blade, but tried the spinning cutter, which works like trimmer line but you don't have to tap for more line because it just keeps cutting.For the price and the increased durability of the small cutter, plus the option for switching to a blade for when you really get into the weeds and woody growth, it's a great deal. Just make sure you have the blades mounted so they spin in the right direction.

Love having this for my weed eater. I can cut up to 1" thick branches or trees along with brush.

The Razor head trimmer did not fit on my Stihl FS 85 due to the design of the head itself. And the blades themselves es aren't sharp, more like a flail that a razor cutter and not adequate for blackberry canes.The 2nd part, the 9" by 32 tooth blade worked adequately but the blade itself is too thin and flexible.

Amazing way to save on string if it would attach. It would be amazing and likely last all season if it worked! The problem was that it does not attach. My hubby tried every attachment and disassembled parts to replace them with the included parts and in the end we now need a new weed eater…so I’d love a list of what weed eater models this actually works with. We had a black and decker so that’s a no go.

I'm not very impressed with the saw blade half of this set, it's just a little too thin to hold up very long. I was hoping for more like a good circular saw type blade. This works okay for tall grass but I was hoping to use it for small saplings. The other blade works pretty good for gnawing through stuff and should hold up pretty well, I hope, over time.There is a whole bagful of washers and adapters to make these fit about any trimmer and they are good quality.I like the set as long as you use it wisely and don't overstretch its limits.
