Easy to install
Easy to install in standard width doors. Comes with handy drill bit for proper fit. Gave it 3 stars because the lens view is wavy and not as clear as other peepholes I've seen.

Privacy peep hole
It doesn't give as clear of view as I hoped, but better than nothing. The drill bit broke before I got the hole drilled so I had to improvise! I do like the privacy cover but make sure you figure out how you want to operate it before you put it in place.

Easy to install
Super easy to drill in but the eye cover never freaking stays up so light just constantly shines through. I have something hung over it so I don't see it.

Short drill Bit
1st thing to do is replace the brill bit with one that is slightly longer than the width of your door. The short drill bit, that comes with the set, will NOT penetrate the width of the door and then allow the cutting tool to be positioned evenly flat on the surface of the door before drilling which may result in the hole being slightly off when it comes out the other side (unless your drill has the leveling bubbles on the top and the side). I went through a steel, hollow core, door with no problems, very sharp and reusable cutting tool.Peep hole seems ok but has a very fish eyed view.

Cloudy peephole and useless hole drill
Lets start with the hole cutter - it is made for hollow core foamed press board/foam doors not solid exterior wood doors or steel cased wood doors. The teeth can barely even scratch actual wood. The depth of cut is roughly 1/8th inch before it clogs up and bottoms out with each pass and the centering drill bit is tiny and will not go thru a full door's width. After replacing the bit with a 2" bit it would at least get thru the door to the other side so I could go to work getting things to meet in the middle. But that took about an hour (solid wood door) having to chisel out the 1/8th chunks the hole saw scored but could not remove every few minutes - it could barely cut in to the wood without smoking/burning but I had already started the hole before I realized it was junk and was forced to use it to finish the job no matter how horrible it was to use. After finally getting a usable hole cored out the peep hole went in easily but the lenses were unusable. It was like looking out a foggy windows in a snow storm. So being stuck with a new hole in my door I overnighted a different peephole that costs twice as much but contained actual glass lenses. Please people pay a bit more for a "real one" and a real hole saw - don't think this is a good deal.
