Looks Nice but Poor Adhesive
The product looks nice when laid; however, the adhesive does not stick very well and the product begins peeling up. We had to use construction adhesive to make it stick better.

Adhesive strength
There is no strength to the adhesive on the back of these carpet tiles. I pulled the plastic cover off and put my hand on the so-called adhesive and it wouldn’t even hold against the skin of my hand.

Holds up well to cat scratching, but the adhesive is non-existent
I got these to pad parts of an indoor catio I made for my kitten. She's now about 1.5 years old. She isn't fond of sisal rope, but she loves this carpet. It's durable and I haven't seen any signs of tears or ripping yet. It looks nice as well, for what it's used for. I needed to pad some bare wood (a ramp , 2 side walls, and a couple of 2x2 and 2x4 vertical supports. I've purchased other carpeting squares and those had great adhesion, but the quality wasn't great of the carpet itself, and didn't last long. These last well, the thickness is good, and the texture still holds. But the adhesion... If I didn't know better, I would assume these aren't supposed to be self-adhesive. Because, well, they aren't. Installation is a bit of a pain if you don't have a way to secure them. Thankfully I have an electric staple/nail gun, so I was able to staple them in place using quality construction staples. They are easy to fold and form around sharp angles without damaging the integrity, or so it seems. They are easy to cut as well, without frayed ends. The under padding is soft and durable and overall, the sheets appear to be good quality and well made for the price. Just prepare to use your own adhesive. I think the quality and durability of the sheets is more important though, and I will most likely order these again. I guess the plus side of the (lack of) adhesion is that they don't smell like PVC, acetyl, or other strong chemicals odor that needs to off gas before being safe for use after installing. Contact cement may work well with these, only applied to the base that these will be stuck on. A single thin coat may be needed for the backing of the carpet, but I have a feeling that based on the material and whatever weak adhesive they used, the bond will form just fine with only the base coated.PS- Yes, I did remove the plastic protective film off the backing of the sheets before sticking them 😉

Great low profile floor covering.
Very pleased with these! They look good. They adhere well but are pretty easy to pull up, too, without leaving adhesive residue on the floor. Great for areas that need a super low profile rug. Excellent if you want to add floor traction for pets.

These are Crap!!!!! Don't Waste Your Money!!!!
These were utterly a waste of money. Yes we ordered these in October, but never installed them until after the new year in a room we were redoing for our Son. Here it is April and they keep coming up, they wont stay in place..... I highly recommend you not buy these.......I am very dissaponted!!!!!

Not sticky
These tiles were not sticky at all. I had to buy glue just to stick them to the surface.

Self Adhesive Works Great
I use this carpet to line ammo cans to store medical and other emergency supplies. It's easy to cut and trim, it's already got adhesive on it (it's removable but the adhesive needs to be glued for second-time use.)The thickness is great - many times I just cut a piece for the bottom, but it's thin enough to cover the sides as well without losing too much space.
