Native to tropical America, the goldfish plant belongs to the same family as African violets and gloxinias. The flowers look just like goldfish without fins. This is a classic plant for a hanging basket. It grows best indoors in bright filtered light, or outside in a warm sheltered position, but it is frost tender. Water your goldfish plant well in the growing season, but keep it fairly dry during the winter months. Tip prune after flowering to maintain size and shape.

Beautiful plant
My daughter sent me a picture of the plant and it was so pretty. I hope it blooms real soon. She was very happy with it. The only downside was it took a really long time to deliver it. It was a week overdue from what it said it would be delivered.

Very nice
I love goldfish plants but since I moved to Iowa I haven't been able to find a place that sells them so to Amazon i went. Plant arrived in very good condition. I wish it would've came with a regular hanging pot that didn't have holes in the bottom.

Not the same variety of goldfish plant as pictured
This was not the same variety of goldfish plant as I had last year it as shown in the pics on Amazon. Paid extra for this plant through Amazon instead of getting it directly from the grower because thought I was buying the same variety plant as last year. This plant is pictured in the 1st photo. It has darker, thicker leaves & hardly blooms. The other two pics are from last years variety of goldfish plant ( purchased directly from grower) . Bright green leaves & a prolific bloomer. I should have returned it but the shipping cost was high so would have lost a lot of money to return. I will say that I received a whole , healthy, growing plant in a small hanging pot. The pot wasn’t the greatest of quality but it wasn’t bare roots like most plants you buy. It was fully growing and packaged well. This is a good grower to buy from! Have purchased directly from them in the past with great experience! However this experience buying through Amazon from this grower left me a little sour because of the wrong plant received and the other xtra cost to get it here. Amazon needs to correct the info to correctly show what you’re really buying.

2 years and still no flowers!
Never flowered...filtered sunlight for 6 hours, watered when needed and Miracle Grow monthly spring to fall. Nice leaves though.

I was refunded and appreciate the quick response.
Very disappointed in this plant. It arrived very mangled and mostly dead. I tried to give it a chance and see if it would grow, but didn’t have any luck. Beware of this product it looks nothing like what is advertised. After I gave it a few days it started to mold and hasn’t grown at all. * update. I was refunded the same day and I greatly appreciate this.

Condion of the plant was great
The plant is beautifil and arrived in great shape, however I am disappointed iin the pot. It is supposed to be a hanging pot but it is really aplanters pot with a hanger. there is no tray/saucer to catch the water or soil and I will have to repot it into something more suitable for an indoor plant. Still I would give it 4 1/2 stars
