I already have a regular seat cover for short trips around town. But I needed something a bit sturdier for long out of town trips in my SUV. I have a very large pit bull I adopted, and she weighs 73 lbs. Obviously, for her, I needed something spacious and tough. This car seat extender fits the bill. Installation wasn't a big deal at all, but I had a friend helping me. I love the solid, firm bottom of this that actually extends it. The extra space, even though not a lot, will give her more room to relax on trips. The material of this is heavy duty while still being comfortable to the touch. The straps are good quality and shouldn't break. This not only protects my car seat, but gives my big old baby a nice big bed. I feel like this cover extender also adds a safety factor. The worst thing is stopping quickly and hearing your big dog hit the floorboards or feeling them slam into the back of your seat. That can't happen with this. Obviously my dog is absolutely my best buddy, so her comfort is of the utmost importance to me. Once I got it installed, she & I climbed in the back seat to try it out. We are both large and it supported both of us just fine. She sniffed it, walked around some to check it all out. Then, she laid down to take a nap. That was all I needed to know she approves of it. She naps a lot, but is picky about where she takes her naps. Obviously, this met her approval for a good napping place. That always makes for easy traveling. I really like this car seat extender and she approves - a total win. I would recommend this to anyone with a large dog!

I have two Chihuahuas who love to roam around in the backseat of my car, but I have bucket seats that make it uncomfortable them to do so I thought I’d give us a try. This makes my whole back seat area, one large walking pad, and now they can roam around in the back, I also love the sides that are up because my Chihuahua likes to go on the ground in the back of my car and I don’t like him down there so it stops him from doing it This is very well-made. It is also comfortable for my dogs because I drive like a maniac at most times lol. This fits perfectly from door-to-door and from front seat to back seats. This can work for any size dog. Definitely recommend to anyone.

This product works great for my doggo, my car, and for me! It fit pretty easily in my 2012 Accord and was easy to install. It seems sturdy and thick enough that I'm confident it will last for quite a few trips. It has some storage pockets, which is a nice feature, for stowing leashes, collars, toys, or whatever else you may need. I like the mesh section between the seats to keep the dog in the back seat - don't know about your puppers, but mine thinks he ought to be in my lap when I'm driving! This is both a seat saver in terms of your car and a safer, more comfortable ride for your pet.

Once installed, this extender does exactly what it is supposed to do - extend the car seat so our large dog can rest comfortably. The straps are strong and heavy duty and the extender is comfortable while holding the do's weight. Highly recommend this item.

The media could not be loaded.  I reviewed three of these seat extenders today, and this is the only one that offered access to seatbelts. This was a huge safety requirement for me, so I was thrilled. My video shows why I needed seatbelt access, and I can't be the only person out there who wants a seat extender *and* an actual car seat at the same time! If that's you, this seat extender is for you!
