Death of a Weekend Warrior: A Surfing Journey Paperback – 1 Dec. 2023

Despite not being a surfer, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. A well written, candid and interesting insight into Bernard's travels around beautiful countries and waters with his surfboard.

Bernard takes you on a beautiful surfing adventure around the world. He describes places, events and surfing in a way that brings it all to life and inspires one to think about taking a gap year learning to surf in beautiful places around the world. I have also recommended this to my teenaged surfer son to give him ideas of where his surfing can take him and the adventures that lie ahead. there are also beautiful analogies between surfing and an approach to life. Loved his authentic writing style.

Even though I am not a surfer, I found this book to be an wonderful and interesting read! Highly recommend

Good read. Some of the personal insecurities the author shares makes the book relatable and personable to even non-surfers.
