When you buy your expensive electronic hardware with the big glass screen there is always the dilemma of should you chose to protect it with coverings and coatings and cases, or should you leave it unsullied and naked in its beautiful natural state, but risk permanent or catastrophic damage, by leaving all form of protection off.I usually try to compromise, with coverings or cases that do not add much bulk, but offer a mild to moderate degree of protection from common accidents such as knocks, fall and spillages.It is with this in mind that I got this kit to protect my new PS portal.The kit comprises a carry case, plastic shell and screen protector. Let's deal with them separately.The Carry CaseThe carry case is excellent. Made from a semirigid moulded nylon material with a strongly stitched rubberised carry handle, and a good quality nylon zipper. The inside is shaped to the Portal, with a soft cotton like material and has a net mesh zippered area in the lid for carrying charging cables and the like. It also has a completely superfluous flap for carrying SD cards, making me wonder if the case is standard with just a different moulded insert depending on what you are carrying, as the Portal has no use for SD cards whatsoever.The ShellThis is not so good. It is a molded plastic shell made of clear plastic of the brittle - shatter into a thousand pieces variety. It has a large piece that the Portal sits in and two smaller pieces that clip over the front of the handles. Once again the shell has a superfluous hinged lid covering the right side of the back of the portal, which adds to the bulk of the case, but does not add functionality, as there is nothing to access under the flap. The shell adds bulk to an oalready large device, and is not pretty, or protective greatly, and I chose not to use it.The Screen ProtectorThe kit has two screen protectors of the rigid variety, with all the usual alcohol wipes and cleaning cloths to prepare the surface before installation. Over the years I have become quite the expert at installing these screens, but I was unable to get either of the provided screen to adhere correctly to the Portal screen. No matter how clean (spotless) I got the screen non of the four corners would completely adhere leaving annoying bubbles under the surface where the screen protector lifted away. You can see this in a couple of the photos included.On balance the only item I thing is worthy of use is the carry case, and possibly the screen protector (if I assume it was my installation technique was at fault, and not the screens provided.

Unfortunately the screen protectors did not arrive with the rest of the parts. Unfortunate as the Case & Cover were good and fit the PS Portal well

Screen protectors didn't fit properly, always pealing off, everything is not perfectly alligned on the hard shell and does not fit correctly, very cheap quality

This is a mixed review I love the case and screen protector but I'm not so keen on the controller shells they feel a little hard and brittle, overall a decent set though so it gets 4 stars from me, the carry case is especially good and feels very protective too.

The screen protector is very rubbish, 2 big bubbles that don’t go, i’ve installed screen protectors like this and never had an issue like this. The shell is very cheap, flimsy & uncomfortable in the hand and you cant even press the mic mute button. The carry case on the other hand is very good quality, its the only reason why I gave more than 1 star.

It’s a nice case that comes with 2 screen savers and clear console case. It’s a must have to keep your portal protected while playing or storing. The only problem that I have with it is the clear console case, you can’t press the mute button without using something it can’t be pressed while it’s enclosed. Other then that I can’t find an issue with my purchase
