Exactly what says
I really like these glass pitchers. Perfect for ice tea or lemonade. They look pleasing eye.. They're easy wash. I love the lines for measuring. Fit nicely in my side by side.Easy to take lid off and it turns to stop liquid coming out. I have not set them on my stove top. I'm not going to do that. I sit them on silicone or towel and I have added boiling water to them and they have held up fine. I was a little leery as I can but these pitchers are thick enough to take that two change.I really love them.

It came broken and some words of advice about using this kind of pitcher
I was very disappointed because I make a lot of iced tea. The handle came broken, the side was broken in pieces. I have no idea how that could have happened because it seemed to be packed nicely. Maybe it broke in the warehouse/storage facility and the worker tried to hide it. Who knows. I ordered another one and hope it comes whole this time. I have a great (old, borosilicate) Pyrex pitcher but it did not come with a cover. This complaint is about was the first pitcher I bought. I just bought a second one but have not used it yet. However, after reading many reviews about other borosilicate pitchers cracking on the heat or by the metal spoon - my recommendation is DO NOT PUT IT ON THE STOVE TO BOIL. You are asking for trouble. Pour the boiling water into the pitcher on the loose tea or tea bags. Also, DO NOT STIR A METAL SPOON IN A GLASS PITCHER - the glass will crack or shatter. Use a rubber/ silicone spatula or spoon to stir. The metal sets up vibrations, thus the cracking. Rubber/silicon will not do this. Also, do not put the pitcher with boiling water on a cool surface like granite- put it on wood or a cloth, silicon pot holder or a wood trivet (NOT CERAMIC OR GLASS) this is simple physics, people. I hope this pitcher will do what I expect it to do. Good luck with yours.

Great for homemade iced tea
Very stylish, good height for refrigerator. A little delicate - After six months use, I cracked the first one I bought, but I liked the style so much I bought another one.

Great for heating tea
I got this pitcher specifically for making Kombucha. I can heat the water right in the container, add the sugar while warm, let it cool and pour into containers for fermentation. Works great.

Spout is small.
Because the spout is small, the liquid can spill.
