Overall very happy, just dissatisfied with some stuff
Overall I am happy with the purchase. Its a very capable machine and so far (as you can see in the pictures) I have been able to do some stuff with with.Pros:- Easy to use with lightburn: I set it up with lightburn in less than 5 minutes and was engraving just as quick.- Very powerful, this is a very powerful machine. It’s 10A, which is about as high as you can get within this price point.- Because it’s open, you can play around with how you want your material, just be careful it’s in a safe place and it wont move.Small Cons:- Because its open, you want to get a shell to put on top for your own safety. Hide the laser and the burning smell.- Mine at least has an issue that the screw (the screw that sets the laser head to the body and moves it up and down) is starting to deform because of the high speeds, if I do not print in high speed this wont be something I would have not noticed.- The instructions to build it are not great. In the product here on amazon they added a video and its a big better, but some parts are missing from the video and I still have no idea what to do with some of the pieces I got.- The safety glasses from this laser cutter are bad, buy a better pair before you get this laser.Big Cons:- Not sure if it’s the place I have it, but anything over 10,000 its moves A LOT. To the point that I can’t use it at those speeds at all. Because I just got it, it has not been an issue, but now I need to create a base that will secure the unit because the movement of the head is so violent it basically impossible to use at these speeds.I would definitely buy it again, but if you have the money, I would honestly recommended an enclosed one instead. The safety factor is big. Also the glasses this printer has, are bad. Just spend the extra $20 and get a good pair of glasses. You only have a pair of eyes.
