Touching and life giving
Cameron tells the Story about losing a son and how thinking about Heaven rescued him. He teaches us through scripture and his own experience that intimacy with Christ and his kingdom can help our own lives here on earth. Worth reading.

Excellent book that is written in a very readable style
This is an easy read, but I spent my time with this one. The author has a very readable style. He offers plenty of stories and personal experiences, as well as in-depth thoughts and scripture. This is very personal to him as he talks about the death of his son. His viewpoints of heaven and how Paul views heaven as referenced in scripture lends so much to contemplate. This is one of the best books I have read on perspectives of heaven and death and how it changes your viewpoints of your life on earth. This is an excellent read for anyone who has lost a loved one. I recently lost my mom, and this book has provided many comforting, reassuring, and hopeful thoughts to take hold of.

a "heavenward" paradigm shift
This is a book about a paradigm shift for Christians. Starting from his own experiences with grief after the unexpected death of his young son, author Cameron Cole takes a close look at Paul’s theology of Heaven in the New Testament and how it created a “heavenward life” approach in him. It has a good outline, yet many sections seem to overlap a lot and it felt a bit repetitive at times. That being said, I think the underlying theology is sound and the message is one that’s good for all of us – especially if you’ve faced grief or loss or trials of any kind.

A Truly Life-Altering Perspective on Heaven
This has been such an encouraging, uplifting, and convicting read. Throughout my life I have been uncomfortable when other Christians seem so concentrated on heaven as a prize or reason for everything. On some level I could understand that but it seemed too hyper-focused. This probably swayed me too far to not being so heavenly minded. This book feels like a better perspective on the importance of being heavenly-minded without neglecting this earth. The author went through a terrible loss of his son's life and this comes up often throughout the book. The author freely shares how this affected his studies, life, and how it now affects his outlook on life. The study of heaven through this book is great and insightful but this story, along with other writing gifts of the author, keeps the book personable and not stuffy.I've really appreciated reading through this. I believe the author appropriately places high importance on being heavenly-minded but points to how that should affect our mindset here on earth. There is a heaven reality on earth right now and that should drive our perspective on this earth. Being heavenly minded is not a bad thing at all but we should consider what that means for how we live our lives right now.

Good Read
A very touching and inspiring read. Not much else I can say without spoiling, that isn't in the summary. It was well-written and had a lot of good advice that we all too often forget in our lives. Overall, recommend!
