New Book
Was so looking forward to reading this book but within a few pages discovered an inaccuracy. Ploughed on only to find that whoever proof read the book did not do a very good job. Full of typos. Disappointed as it was all about the house and not much about the socio-political history of the time/area.

EXCELLENT BIOGRAPHY OF A HOUSE.
An excellent history of Croome, with some background information colouring the social aspects. This is most likely to appeal to readers who are primarily interested in architectural history, and the book tells a fascinating story, involving as it does Capability Brown, Adam and Wyatt amongst others. Lucid, well written and I found it fascinating.
