Magnificent Magnetic Toy!
The media could not be loaded. We are all about STEM at my preschool so when I saw the INACORN Magnetic Tiles with lights I just had to get it for my preschoolers. This set is excellent, far better than most that are out there. It comes with 110 pieces that are thick, heavy, plastic and the magnets connect really well. There are so many pieces and combination that the play is open ended and they kids play for a long time together at the table. When they came to the table they were mesmerized by the lights and found inventive ways to play with the set. There are 2 vehicles, and 2 figures one blue and one pink which were a hit with the girls. They literally pushed the boys off the table to work together to make all kinds of things. I did not let the 2-year-olds play with the lights without supervision, because the lighted balls could be a choking hazard and I recommend no more than 2 at the table it just works better with two. There is a detailed list on the side of the box that shows you the contents, so you can pick the set that will fit your child's age and needs. It comes with an instruction manual that shows how to make things for the set you have. The Ferris wheel and other complicated structures require the purchase of additional sets. However, if this is for a preschooler aged 2 - 5 they don't need any more than this set, but you could absolutely add sets for older children, the technology and engineering in the INACORN Magnetic Tiles is never ending. A great magnetic set, and comparative in price with other brands, that have no lights, so the lights are a bonus. It's also a great way to draw girls into technology and science, open ended play and each creation is different. This is also a fantastic set for studying light, it comes with a couple of mini spotlights and some of the magnetic tiles have textured surfaces to diffuse light and make patterns. The girls took the set into the tent and had fun building creations and experimenting with light in the dark. I highly recommend this set.

Excellent Quality!!
Most other sets similar to this don't have as many pieces at all, so it's very limited to what you can build, maybe one house or one car. This set has SO many cool pieces, they look amazing with the transparency and diamond texture design, like art! The light up aspects and balls make it even more fun. Not to mention the car wheels and people too?!? This would be so great in classrooms but also at home. I love that the box is sturdy with a handle, and it's someplace to keep all the pieces and even carry them on the road. We opeened them all up at Christmas with my nephew and I wanted to keep it. lol. Great value, great buy, go for it!

Hard to review since I’m not the end user…
….so I guess I’ll have to extrapolate from how they went over with grand nieces. Lots of happy noises and lots of “come look at what I made”. This seems to be a big enough set for them to actually make things instead of just wishing they had more. I love the concept of the brightly colored magnetic tiles and the kids really do seem happy to tinker with them for quite some time. A little pricey, but still I’d say it’s a good buy.

Light components stopped working
A good price for the amount of magnetic tiles you get but nearly all of the pieces that light up stopped working the next day. The point of getting this product over others was for the light-up pieces so be warned that yours may just stop working and there's no way to replace the batteries.

beautiful set for gifting
This is a great gift for any kid that enjoys building. Packaging box is gorgeous, easy to store, no fighting the pieces to try to put them all back into the box.The set itself has a huge variety of shapes, and decent colors. The fact that it actually brought bases with wheels will make it into my son's favorite. These pieces are SMALLER than the other sets we have, but still work alright together as long you not trying to intermingle the pieces. It comes with one of the most comprehensive building ideas booklet that I've seen. The best thing? The pieces that have lights in them actually come with the batteries (clock style batteries), so no last minute disappointed when we cant get the toys to work cuss we don't have the right batteries for them.

Granddaughter Approved
Both my 2-year-old and 6-year-old granddaughters loved it so much that they keep asking their parents to come to my place to play with it. Yes, I'm using that as a blackmail for them to come more often to my place...it works. Eventually, I'll just let them take it home, but for now, I'm just having fun with them.I can't deny that I enjoy it myself, and it is not only because of my granddaughters. It is a fun and pretty toy, especially because of the lighting effects and the magnets that make it easy to build whatever you want.
