Fit perfectly.
Ordered this holster for a S&W 629 classic (with the full under-lug) with a 5" barrel. The pistol fits perfectly. It is a snug fit like any good holster, and the strap was just the right length to fit over the hammer when it is in the uncocked position. The snap on the strap has just the right amount of tension to hold the strap in place, but easily releases with the proper thumb release pressure. This holster has a lining, so that nothing metal rubs against the pistol. The lining is not very soft, but looks to be very durable. The leather was a little lighter color that the other Bianchi holsters I own, but will probably darken up a bit with usage and age.Very nicely made with good craftsmanship.

Perfect Holster for Ruger SP101 2.25" Barrel .357 Magnum
I have to give this holster 5 stars. I have a Ruger SP101, .357 Magnum, 2.25" barrel, Wiley Clapp Edition revolver. I love the color of Bianchi's tanning, and have several of their holsters. I do agree with a previous reviewer, that the newer model holsters don't have the smooth suede lining, as the older models did. But, I correct this myself, by slathering 3 coats of Skidmore's Leather Cream on the inside, let it soak in for several hours, and smoothing the suede out with my fingers, while I'm watching TV, or sitting on the porch. Sometimes, for up to an hour. Then, remove any excess, with a soft towel. It does smooth the inside lining, and makes it very acceptable. As far as the holster, as I said before, I love the tan color. What really impressed me was, this holster fit my SP101, absolutely perfect, straight out of the package! No break-in, at all, was needed. It looks great, and feels great. After putting it on my belt, and test-wearing it, the cant is great, at the 8 o'clock position (I'm left handed, hence the 8 o'clock position). The holster fits very nice, and close to the body. It holds the revolver close, making it great for a CCW application. Overall, I'm very, very impressed, and happy, with this holster, for this revolver. As for using it with the Ruger SP101, 2.25" barrel revolver, I would highly recommend it.**NOTE: In the photos, I have already used the leather conditioner, on the inside, and outside, of the holster. I've also already 'smoothed' the lining, using the method I described in my review.**

Fits post 2019 King Cobra Target .357
Bought to fit new Colt King Cobra Target model with 4.25" barrel. At the time of review, it can be hard to find a holster that fits the new KC's, as the redesigned trigger guard apparently means that many holsters designed to fit older model Colts won't allow the new model to seat fully into the holster. This holster fits like it was designed for the new KC Target out of the box. The thumbstrap fits nicely over the hammer spur and snaps into place properly. The belt tunnel holds the gun at a comfortable and accessible angle, and I can reholster without difficulty. On my 6 foot frame, the riding height is fairly comfortable, high enough it doesn't cause discomfort when sitting, but not so high that the grip pokes into ribs, interferes with arm movement or feels unstable.I do prefer a holster to cover the trigger when the gun is stowed, so it's not perfect, but again because of the new KC's long trigger guard it's not really a reasonable gripe against Bianchi that a multi-fit holster doesn't fit perfectly and give full coverage at the same time.My initial impressions are that this holster is a decent value from a reputable brand name that carries a somewhat uncommon sixgun comfortably and securely.

Sought and Found
I have packed my 3 inch 101 for years in a Bianchi nylon open-ended slide holster.. The problem is that I hike the high desert of Utah and every time I sit down I risk ramming the muzzle into dirt or rocks. There are plenty of leather holsters with closed ends for the shorter barrel, but I have had trouble finding such a holster for the 3 inch model. This 5BHL holster appears to be the perfect solution. The craftsmanship is excellent. I especially like the double stitching on the belt loop and the fact that the loop is molded to make it easier to get on and off the belt. I wear mine on a 1 1/4 inch standard jeans belt, and the holster rides high and comfortably tight to the body. I was somewhat concerned about the holster being lined when I ordered. I wanted a compact holster, and Amazon did not carry the unlined model of the Bianchi. But the lining is thin, and the holster is solid and compact. Here's the only problem. The thumb-break strap rides right on the tip of the hammer spur. Getting the strap snapped over the gun the first time is a challenge. I struggled and finally succeeded by liberally lubricating the holster with swear words. I'm at a loss why Bianchi does not notch or scallop the strap to dodge the hammer spur. I considered notching it myself, but I would have had to cut through some of the liner stitching. Having finally snapped the strap, I left the gun in the holster for a week, and the strap now snaps, barely. I suspect the hammer spur may wear a hole in the lining in time (as in a "long" time).I'm delighted I found this holster. All in all, it is a fine holster for a great price.

Does not cover trigger guard
I love this holster but I didn't realize that having the trigger guard covered was such a big requirement for certain sports. Sadly I can't use it for my intentions. Something to remember.

A Cosy Home For Your Hand Cannon
Fit's my S&W 586 6" just fine. Follow the instructions because it is a little tight at first, but it does fit. I would rate is a little lower than my Galco, but still a very serviceable holster. Probably okay for open carry - concealing a 6" revolver is pretty hard to do - but it does ride a bit to high on the waist for my liking, drawing from that position is a bit awkward. Great holster for the range and possibly back country.
