Fun project to practice SMD soldering, not easy to learn though. Read the product details before you buy. If you want to practice SMD soldering this is a good lesson.

This kit is a good low cost option for trying out SMD soldering. This gives you the opportunity to test out the soldering in a relatively simple board and see if you can get it working. I highly suggest trying something like this first before attempting to repair a more complex and expensive device. Overall this kit is a good introduction into SMD soldering, but it is difficult to find instructions for this kit, There is not much documentation for the device.

This should be listed in the description that it is SMD and requires different care and techniques to solder the components.A download link to a pdf with assembly instructions, specific care requirements in the soldering process, a detailed parts listing with numbers, etc should be a requirement on this. The very detailed operation is great, but is probably beyond most diy builders. A detailed primer on how-to would be of better use in my opinion.
