Disclaimer: I’m a huge AFI fan and have an ongoing obsession with DH. He’s beautiful. I die.That being said, I fully expected this book to underwhelm. I don’t know why... I guess it just seems that everyone fancies themselves an author these days. But, this did not suck. I finished it in 2 sittings. Being that I have the attention span of a 2 year old these days I thought it in itself was impressive.DH uses his gift for mind bending descriptives very well. I could have used a prologue... or perhaps a glossary? The “lingo” was unfamiliar to me, but I got the gist. The main character is certainly unique and many times you’re left vacillating between rooting for him and wanting to clap him upside the head. You get sucked into his weird world and after putting it down it’s hard to come back. His values are kind of all over the place but he displays a conscience in the most unlikely of situations which to me redeems his shortcomings.

Loved the story! A page turner, I flew thru it!

Heller's 'Something Happened' meets Chuck's 'Invisible Monsters' - of course with its own special touch as well.I had trouble putting this down.I definitely see Mr. DH's growth as an author, and it's taking good direction.
