OK, I’ll admit it: after seeing the movie “Tron” and its incredible vision of the world inside computers, my friends and I used to have mock-disc battles when we were kids, pretending we were on the game grid. So as you probably guessed, when I saw this item (despite it not being the classy Tron-blue), I just couldn’t pass it up. I didn’t have any doubts regarding this disc’s lighting capabilities—lighting and LED technology have come way too far in the years since we were first introduced to light-cycle battles—my biggest concern actually was: can they make something like this that actually flies well?I can lay those fears to rest for you. The power and control mechanism for the lights is perfectly situated in the center of the disc’s underside, and it is incredibly light…in fact, the entire disc is light; it doesn’t seem to weigh any more than most normal frisbees would. A friend of mine and I took it out for a spin one evening in our back yard, and I was VERY impressed: standard backhand throws, the more difficult forearm spins which took me forever to master when I was young, you name it: this thing flew like a dream. In fact, on one overeager throw, my friend and I just KNEW it was headed for the roof…a leaping catch saved the day.The lighting functions worked very well and as advertised. The manufacturers weren’t stingy with the LEDs in the frisbee’s rim: there are plenty in there, evenly spaced, so that it looks great when you throw it…the LEDs are actually bright enough to catch people’s attention even in moderate-light conditions (e.g., during dusk). I liked the “find-me” feature, with its attention-getting lighting, for those after-dark games JUST in case it winds up in some very tall weeds (or someone else’s yard). Here’s the bottom line: even if you don’t like TRON, but just appreciate a well-made, well-flying Frisbee, and you’re looking for one that sets itself apart from the rest of the pack, you will not be disappointed with this one. It’s an easy five stars: I highly recommend it!

This frisbee isn't bad. It flies well and the light is easy to see in the dark. The material seems a little cheaper as it is very thin, especially the edge. I am used to frisbees with more edge to hold on to which this doesn't have. Overall it is decent though.
