BLESSUMEChurch Priest Choir Robe Black Cassock White Surplice Set Liturgical Vestments

More than pleased
The package arrived earlier than expected. In fact, the tracking data still shows it as being in transit.i was afraid that the set was going to look very "costume-ish". I am very pleased to be wrong. While the cassock fabric might be liturgically "odd", the cut, the stitching, and the fit are near perfect; the arms are just the slightest bit long. Still, not bad for a non-bespoke garment. But, what's with with the glassy buttons? (Again, more of a liturgical issue.)The "lace-y" surpilice is not as delicate as I was dreading. I was assuming it would shred just looking at it. Care and attention will still be needed, though, as it does resemble lace. Hand wash with Dreft.....But it's still more durable than I expected. The set is completed by another product of theirs called a "cappa": the full name is "cappa magna". It's buttons are as "tight" to work as those on the cassock. I am now fully legit for Vespers. :-)Hand made priest garbs can cost hundreds: a $300+ cassock will last a lifetime (or a waistline change), but not everyone can afford that. Clergy in the Independent Sacramental Movement still need vestments, but they buy them with their own money. I hope Blessume is NOT a sweatshop, as I have their copes and stoles as well.I am pleased with the purchase.
