I used to wear athletic socks quite a bit but discovered that the tight band at the top would create problems for my feet. I had even gone to the point of cutting the top of the sock to reduce tightness permitting better blood flow to my feet.These marina wall socks do not bind at all and tend to be very soft and comfortable to wear all day. They also tend to be warm enough to keep my feet from getting cold which I appreciate as I get older. They have been washed several times and still look as good as the day I received them. So anyone with diabetes or some other ailment that can cause swollen feet would benefit from wearing these socks. Whenever I need socks again I will be ordering more of these. Anyone who must dress up to go to work would find these socks dressy enough to be worn with a suit.

I'm a sucker for merino wool socks, and these are made primarily of merino wool. That's impressive! They also claim to be machine washable, which is a plus. They aren't thick like a lot of merino wool socks, though, so these probably aren't the kind of socks you'll wear to stay warm outdoors on a frosty evening. I wear a 9.5 - 10 men's shoe, and I wouldn't want these any bigger. I slipped one on and wondered if I should've gotten the medium instead, but my hunch is that these will draw up a bit when they're washed and dried. We'll see how the top works over time...I'm hopeful that they won't roll down on me. I'm used to having more of a defined cuff at the top. True to the way they're advertised, they aren't binding or tight at all. So I don't have to worry about those sometimes painful elastic marks from other socks.

I ordered these because I love merino wool and sometimes I hate the tight compression most of the brands I have provide - I just get anxious when my feet feel too tight or contained.These I'd say are a bit too loosey-goosey, they fall right down and the top doesn't even have like a closed seam over it so it doesn't look that nice.

we really like these socks and so far, they are sturdy and comfy. Be aware they shed but the rest makes up for it.

I absolutely hate socks with a tight upper cuff. I'm in my 40's and stand a lot because I have some herniated discs which make sitting uncomfortable. Most hours of the day, I'm standing. By afternoon I get a little bit of light swelling around the ankles. In other words, I want loose, comfortable socks.I wear a ladies size 10 and opted for these in a size large. I'd say they are a perfect fit. I haven't really experienced them rolling down, but, I do fold them over about 2" at the top. Not sure if that makes a difference. They are more of a casual/dress sock rather than an athletic sock.I'll probably mostly wear them around the house as I work from home and they're very comfortable.I am a little concerned that the lightly finished edge may unravel at some point, but, I will update if that happens.
