This feeder is awesome!Out of the box is as a quick set up. Only a few pieces to pop together. I found a QR code in the manual that directed me to the app for the feeder. This devices utilizes the app for control of the machine thru Bluetooth/wifi. I downloaded and created my free account. It was a bit tricky figuring out how to pair it, I recommend paying close attention to which device you choose from their list, as there are a few similar devices. Once I chose the correct one it was easy to get going.After getting connected I checked out the camera function first. I was impressed with the clarity of the camera. It has very little noticeable delay or lag. I.e. the camera performs at states specs. Next I put a small portion of my cat kibble to test the dispensing function. After several manual feeds I was very happy with the ease of dispensing. The motorized rotor functions efficiently.Next I deep dived into Scheduling. The feeder gives you lots of room to set up various feedings throughout the day as needed. You can set your desired portion for each feeding as well. Within this as well you can label, adjust, modify and track calories and other things as desired.Another fun function is the motion detection. You can turn on this on with the click of a button on the features screen. It’s very accurate catching everything from my cats walking up, eating, and even my legs as I walk by. The camera is accurate and sensitive. The feeder gives you a wide range of notification options within the app so you can choose what you want it to detect.The camera also has an audio function that works both one way talk or open channel. Much to my cat’s surprise i tested this while running errands and was delighted when I could clearly hear them chirping back at me. They’re talkers.The app itself has so many things you can have fun with from setting rules of detection and feeding. Tracking calories per feeding and various other little things.One feature that I love love about the notifications is a setting you can enable that will notify you when the feeder is offline for more than 30 min. It also logs why it was offline, I.e. power loss. In fact the app keeps a log of various activity including listing if the feeding was completed etc.I still have much to learn about the feeder but the level of control is great and I have a greater peace of mind on those days where I am busy and not home as much as I would like.

It drops the food on time. The app is super easy to use. Just a click to to change the amount of food.

The media could not be loaded.  Our biggest complaint about automatic pet feeders in the past is that the portion sizes are too big. With our older cat having a sensitive stomach, this has led to a lot of overeating and vomiting. This feeder has SOLVED that problem for us. We took out our scale and weighed out the portions between our old feeder and the Roilpet feeder. The Roilpet feeder came in about 2 grams less per serving! Yay! (And yes, our old boy has noticed.) As the video will tell you, we generally love everything about this feeder. When you initially set it up, do it closer to your router, but after that you can move it to a different location and it works perfectly. We love the fact that we control all of the settings from our phone. One of our biggest frustrations in the past was learning the button combinations to program other feeders. No more! This one is so easy! Our only feedback is we wish it had the capability to record video automatically every time they come to the feeder (you can manually record), but it does have a great feature where it will notify you on your phone when it senses motion at the feeder. For us this is important so we know that they are healthy and eating when we are not home. We’ve been using the feeder for over a week now and it has worked perfectly. I do like the fact that it has an alert system to not only let you know that the feeder executed the feeding function successfully but apparently it will also let you know if the feeder is jammed. We haven’t had a problem with that and use pretty small diameter food, but it’s nice to know the feature is there.

I started with one for an outside pet & Loved it so much I bought one for an inside pet too. The camera is pretty good quality & set up is simple enough. Programs feeding with ease from anywhere. My only reason for giving it 3 stars is because the food storage compartment grooves broke on both units. There are plastic hooks/grooves that clasp/click into place to secure. When I went to clean the units, both broke. It still sits on the device & doesn’t necessarily make the device unusable. But my outdoor dog is larger & and a bit more sneaky. I could see her knocking it over to get to the food. I just secured the lid with a heavy rock on top. But this is a part of the unit that is poorly constructed. Other than that, I think it’s great.

Bought this because we will be gone a couple days this summer. So far it has worked great. Still trying to figure out how much our cat eats a day so there isn’t any left at night. We sit it out on the covered porch during the day. When we go out of town it will come inside. I like that the camera does not need to be on all the time. I do wish it had one more camera position so you could actually see a bit higher. But I do like that you can see the amount of food in the bowl with the 2 current positions. The night vision works good. The motion detection has 3 levels of sensitivity settings and is a nice feature. The speaker for the voice recording isn’t the greatest but it’s fine. You can also adjust the volume which is nice. Overall as long as it keeps working it has all the features we were looking for. I can feel comfortable knowing it will send me messages if there’s any issues and I can have someone come take care of it if we are not home. I also like that it has battery backup in case the electric goes out. The top is not as sealed as I thought it would be. But the cat is eating the food so I’m guessing it is keeping it fresh. I would definitely recommend this feeder to anyone. Knocking off a star just because the top isn’t sealed as well as others I saw. But the other features outweigh the way the top is made.

Have had this about 3 months and it works great. The timers can be set to various times throughout the day and night. Highly recommend.
