Great resource foe small group leaders
I learned about Adam's book recently having gone through his Group Leader Training not knowing that I was participating, like so many others, in gathering information on how to create better small group leaders. We had signed up to become small group leaders in a local church and got to witness firsthand Adam's knowledge on the subject and how he'd raised up many leaders before us to run small groups. I was curious (maybe annoyed at first) that it would take so long to go through the material but this was no small one hour training where he was handing out a certificate and sending you on your way. There were questions and videos in preparation for each class, group discussions, and follow up homework. He was preparing, not just rubber stamping new leaders. This book is that same great instruction gathered into one place complete with the videos, questions and more that we had gone through empowering others to raise up small group leaders in their own church. Not every church can have Adam on staff to raise up small group leaders but hopefully this book can equip more churches with the tool they need to raise up the next generation of small group leaders.

Proactive Leadership Development
My approach to discovering and developing leaders was reactive prior to getting my hands on this training manual. Adam has put together a powerful resource that gives leaders a proactive approach to producing new group leaders, and inevitably new small groups! In each session you receive applicable content that address the character, competencies, and core convictions of a small group leader. Adam truly believes that healthy leaders produce healthy small groups.

You can do this too!
Adam’s ability to reach into your heart and explain how to Build healthy Leaders, Build Groups to share the Gospel and Build Disciples to reach out to others while multiplying the Word is remarkable. An anxious wife, mother, grandmother, ophthalmologist, and community volunteer can be a Group Leader too! Thank you Adam!

Best training guide ever!!!
One of the most relevant discipleship and leader training work books I've had the pleasure of reading. I can't wait to see what Mr. Adam writes next! He is on a next level in his research and writing.

Great, practical tool!
As a former education pastor, I read and used numerous training materials aimed at equipping small group leaders within the church. Adam Erlichman’s “Group Leader Training” is a practical resource for small group leaders and Sunday School teachers. The book offers five key training modules: Healthy Groups, Fellowship, Grow, Serve, and Multiply. Each is designed to address essential aspects of group leadership. There are QR codes and website links for additional video sessions and fill-in-the-blank workbooks enhance the learning experience, making it interactive and engaging. The focus on the biblical doctrine of discipleship ensures that leaders are not only equipped with practical skills but are also spiritually grounded. The book deals with practical application which is important to give leaders tools. One key element in a small group’s success is building community. He highlights the importance of leaders fostering relationships that extend beyond group meetings, encouraging activities like social gatherings and shared experiences. Conclusion: Overall, “Group Leader Training” by Adam Erlichman is a well-rounded, biblically sound, and practically applicable resource. It is an excellent tool for any church looking to develop strong, effective, and spiritually grounded group leaders. As a former education pastor, I highly recommend this book for its ability to equip leaders for impactful ministry.
