Great for beginners
This is what I've been using for a while to polish the cars I've been detailing. I haven't come across any issues and the long open time is something I can attest to. I use a softer polish pad just to be on the safe side since I'm still an amateur at it and it's been working great. I haven't worked on any paints that were more severely damaged, but it works great on swirls and sometimes a little deeper. The page says it works on 1500 grit marks and finer. I haven't had the gumption to actually mar my car with that and test it, so I can't say that that part is true, but for a normal swirl issue or maybe just a little rougher paint, this works wonders. Highly recommend.

Produces a nice shine and removes scuff marks
This is one of the easier cutting compounds I've used. No need for multiple products for different parts, trims of the car. This is an all in one compound. I used this primarily after sanding down the orange peel on my car with P1500 abrasive discs. The discs left lots of scuff marks that were removed completely with this compound.

Versatile time saver.
3D is an American company that is well known in the detailing industry. Because you don't see their products on the shelves of typical brick and mortar stores, the company and its products are not as well known to the general product. I was glad to see them start marketing on Amazon. Their products are generally well reviewed, most, if not all, are made in the USA and they are reasonably priced.I-Cut is a very versatile product. You can greatly vary its cutting and polishing abilities by changing the type of pad you use. A wool pad results in a lot of cutting ability to remove heavy scratches and a foam pad, such as an orange, will allow you to polish to a pretty high degree. If using this before ceramic coating a vehicle, I would still probably use a finishing polish. You get very good working time with it and it is a breeze to remove.I have really liked using it to polish headlights. Instead of grabbing different products to correct in steps, I just swap the pad out. Very convenient. This is another quality product from 3D that will definitely save you some effort on heavier correcting jobs.

Versatile rubbing compound/polish
I'm not a shop or someone who uses this type of product regularly. But I took the advise of some other reviewers and bought this stuff to use for headlight rehabilitation. It works great for that application. I've since used it for other polishing tasks of a non-automotive nature ... especially cleaning up knife blades. I've been really happy with how it works without scratching when I've used it.
