Climate control is no longer a strictly private endeavor in the modern age, and that's a shame. I don't want to share my personal data, proclivities, or whereabouts with my thermostat manufacturer. Nor do I wish to have said data monetized, and sold to anyone. As such, privacy becomes a major concern when selecting a thermostat in our modern age. That's what brought me to Sensi... and I'm GLAD to have found this product. No glaring exploitations, AND I now have VASTLY SUPERIOR COMFORT, usability, and efficiency compared to my last G****e unit.My primary concern was maintaining information privacy, yet I also needed a system that insured comfort, while allowing remote use. I found this Sensi thermostat after much searching and careful research, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I had my A/C contractor install it, and it took him about 20 minutes in total. After setting it up (firmware adjustment) with my system, it has worked flawlessly. It took me about a day to design a programming schedule that would keep our home comfortable throughout the week... and I've been thrilled with the results. Our home has never been so comfortable at all hours of the day! It has been remarkably cool, in spite of record high temperatures over the last 3 days. I'm TRILLED!It's super easy to program. The native application is easy to use, and flawless in operation. Connection is rock solid via Wifi6. No loss of programming. Almost instant access, and response. I love that this device doesn't think it's smarter than me. It GIVES ME THE CONTROL over the system and operation... not some godless corporation in silicon valley. The choices are MINE, and not made for me. HUGE plus!This Touch 2 also allows for the addition of wireless (battery operated) remote sensors to be placed in the home for added control. I added one ($40 each) to my (frequently warmer) master bedroom, and it has wildly improved comfort in that room. I added it myself, it was an absolute breeze. It has performed flawlessly since install. Two AA batteries are WAY easier to replace than running a wire through my attic. This is a total DIY WIN!I couldn't be happier with this purchase, and it gets a GLOWING 5-star rating with TWO BIG thumbs up! Searching for a smart thermostat was harder than I thought! I've had the nests and they just seem so basic. This one is pretty neat looking with its large screen and the app is great as well. We did have someone install a "c" wire for us so this was an easy installation. Also, the fact that it's generally the same size as the thermostat we replaced we didn't need to patch holes or use any wall plates etc. Definitely happy with this buy!

My local gas company was offering a $100 rebate if I install a "smart" thermostat. The Sensi Touch 2 qualified for the rebate so that makes it more affordable. I think the main difference between the "Touch 2" and previous models is this one works with remote room sensors. I haven't tried that feature yet. Really easy to install. I didn't even have to drill holes, it uses the mounting points from my previous thermostat. The app takes you step by step through the wiring process. One thing I really like is the flexible programming. You can set up as many temperature set points as you want. Very happy with this purchase. Definitely check with your gas company to see if a rebate is available.

I have used ecobee and Google Nest before and this is miles ahead of both of those. I love the option to choose a true schedule rather than the weird "comfort settings" in other thermostats and rather times/temps in accordance with my daily schedule and the option to do multiple weekly schedules without having to enter each day's settings. It is bigger than other smart thermostats but that is so you can cover wall damage from standard thermostats. I can hear an audible click every time it kicks the heat on so I knocked off as star for that as it is very noticeable, every time, even in the middle of the night (but I am sensistive to sounds, should not bother normal people)

The Smart Thermostat is a great addition to my home. Its intuitive interface and ease of connectivity with smart home systems are impressive. The energy-saving features have noticeably reduced my bills. It's user-friendly and the remote control via smartphone is a big plus. However, it falls short on high voltage support, which limits its functionality in certain setups. Despite this, it's a quality product for everyday use. I recommend it for its smart features and efficiency, but do check your voltage requirements first.
