DIY Decorating Patio Heater for Garage, 1500W 2s Warm up Portable Indoor Workshop Pet Infrared Electric Heater with Roll Cage, IP65 Waterproof Carbon Fiber Freestand, 2024 New Model

I was on the search for an outdoor heater that was weatherproof for months and finally stumbled across one that was outdoor safe, waterproof, and emits a decent amount of heat. To make a long story short, I have an outdoor cat due to someone in the home acquiring a severe cat dander allergy; I didn't have the heart to get rid of my cat as I've had him for 11 years. I have been on the hunt to accommodate whatever needs he needs to make it through the harsh winter. I live in Indiana and the weather has been hitting below freezing lately, so I'm fortunate to have a heater like this to help keep him and his outdoor home warm. It is placed in front of a greenhouse and is able to trap up to 16 degrees within the greenhouse; my cat also enjoys sitting in front of it and most importantly this heater hasn't caused a fire! It's a great buy, and for the price, it's VERY reasonable!

For the price, I think you'd be hard pressed to find something substantially better. Has tip over protection, 2 remotes, and timer. These things are all similar, but at least this one was good and works as expected. The stand is almost good, the vertical extension part was glued, which came undone, so it can slide out/up even when the screw is tightened. Some more glue fixed it, not too troublesome. It's obviously top heavy, so use the weight bags they give you to make it safe.

With its 1500W power, IP65 waterproof rating, and quick 2-second warm-up, this heater is the ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor use. The freestanding design and roll cage add a touch of style and safety.

Overall, this heater is good overall, there are certainly some areas in which it could have been better built such as the metal support going from the rod to the actual heater. The support actually bent right after assembly but it worked out as I bent it back and then bent it some more to adjust where I wanted to angle the heater anyway.The tripod stand is easy to adjust and work and comes with 3 bags to fill with sand so that you can anchor the heater to prevent it from tipping over. One thing that I think that they should supply is some velcro strips which is what I ended up using to mount the remote near the patio door as well as mounting one to the tripod so that way we're not losing the remote controls.At the end of the day, this is a fairly decent heater and presents itself at a good overall value. It's not the strongest heater but it works great for those chillier days when you'd like to sit out on the patio and enjoy a bit of nature.

This heater is good for light to medium use on our patio. Weather from high 30s to the 50s can be made fairly comfortable with this heater. As the amount of people goes up, the distance from the heater increases so it's all about proximity! This heater isn't pumping/blowing heat, so if you're close, you're warm. The setup was fine, but could have been easier. Not sure why they have individual screws that need to be screwed into each part of the pole. Makes storage awkward (or time consuming). The poles could have been telescoping with screws to hold in place or something more manageable. But the end result is a good heater so I'll deal with any setup/break down.

This thing heated up instantly upon being powered on. I was impressed with how hot it got so quickly. I suppose two remotes are always better than one (or none)! I did not have any stability issues with the design and it's shape is ideal for under patio placement. Overall, I am impressed and very pleased with this heater!

The unit works great and its vertical orientation and compliments another portable horizontal infrared heater I own. It heats up immediately (within three seconds) as do all similarly-styled infrared heaters. It's a directional heater so only the objects directly in front of the unit will get toasty and warm.The remote is simple and works fine; they even give you an extra remote although I'm not sure why. Maybe it's in case you lose the first one.It was easy to assemble and my only complaint is not with its performance or build quality but with the instructions. No where does it explain or illustrate how to install the rectangular metal frame that sticks out from the front to warn you to not get too close.I had to watch the video in the description to see what the metal bars were used for and how to install them (most of the photos don't show the bars installed on the unit). It's simple once you figure it out but it's not intuitive when you're holding two metal bars in your hands - not knowing what they're supposed to be used for

I assembly the heater and didn't work. The screen would turn on with settings but the heating element never turn on.

Before operating this heater, be sure to remove the 4 foam inserts (don't worry if they tear) that protect the heating element from jostling during transportation. The instruction manual does not mention this requirement. It is only mentioned on a small sticker that actually fell off of the unit so it might not have been seen until it was too late to be useful. Powering the unit with those foam inserts still in place may well be a fire hazard.Besides the above issue, the heater works very well. The amount of heat can be varied and the timer works well - at least, I assume that the timer works well - I didn't actually leave it running for an hour just to see if it would shut off as expected. I guess the one thing that the unit does not do is adjust the directionality of the heating once it is physically installed.The unit comes with 2 remote controls that are necessary to operate the heater when it is installed out of arm's reach. A funny thing about the remotes - they each have one of those little plastic tabs that prevent the battery contacts before the first use - the only thing is (as mentioned in the product listing) the remote controls are shipped WITHOUT any batteries! You have to have to your own CR2025 batteries on hand for them. Note CR2032 batteries will also fit and work. Fortunately, I buy such batteries in bulk so that I have them on hand to replace them in car key fobs, garage door opener remote controls, alarm clocks, etc.

The media could not be loaded.  Before I review the heater I'd like to give the seller 5 stars. I had an issue and they responded very quickly, courteously, and very quickly resolved it. Customer service is absolutely stellar.Packaging for this heater is fantastic. Boxes are anchored with foam corners and even the heating element is stabilized with foam inserts to ensure it survives shipping.The heater works very well. It has 3 heat settings and a timer. On the highest heat setting I was blasted with heat within seconds standing 10 feet away. If you have a closed in deck it will warm the space up in no time. Hubby has discovered it also works well in the garage to add heat to speed up drying of something he painted. Our winters are cold and damp so automotive paint just doesn't set this time of year. Comes with a sturdy tripod but can also be wall mounted. There are two remotes so you can easily change settings from a distance which is handy because as a patio heater the head would be quite high. Be sure to set the tripod with one leg in front, 2 in back to prevent tipping since the head is mounted quite far out and so the centre of gravity and weight is not over centre. It also comes with 3 canvas bags to fill with sand or other materials as weights so even on a windy day you won't have to worry about tippage.Now for the caveats: the instructions for assembly are terrible. The image in the book for installation does not in any way resemble the parts you are given. In the book, it shows a different mount which has the heater being mounted close to centre. What you actually get are two brackets that together provide the mount for the heater. One bracket is an L bracket that mounts to the tripod. The other is smaller angle bracket with about a 45' angle. This mounts to the L bracket and the heater mounts to the angled one. This ensures that the heater is mounted aimed slightly downward. Because of the internal magnetic shut off mechanism, this heater will not work if mounted straight. It has to be angled slightly downward for it to work. However, this arrangement does mean that the heater is over the feet of the tripod rather than the centre so be aware of placing the feet of the tripod to best prevent tippage if bumped. The other shortfall is that the cord is quite short so you will have to have a good high wattage extension cord on hand to be able to plug it in in most cases.Overall this is a great heater and really puts out the heat. It's nice that you have 3 heat settings so you can step down the wattage when you don't need the highest setting. On the low setting it's only 500w. Having remotes is great so you can quickly make adjustments without a lot of fuss and fiddling. If you need to heat up a deck, garage or just have a warm space for an outdoor gathering, this will certainly do the trick.

Excellently priced with the available cupon this unit heats up super fast and has three levels of heat. So you can crank it to get your space warm if using indoors and then lower it once the room has been heated. My plan for this is some extra heat in my insulated but not heated garage and it works great!The remotes are handy and it comes with two of them in case you misplace one. Instructions were basic but it's pretty easy to figure out how to put everything together. The unit comes with a few nylon bags you can fill with sand and place on the tripod legs for added tip over security which is great if using outdoors in case of a windy day.The only two issues I found with the heater is I wish the cord were longer, I'm hesitant about plugging it into an extension cord so I have to make sure the heater is placed near an outlet which can sometimes be difficult moving it around the garage to different work areas. The second issue is the plastic tension rings that hold the telescopic part of the tripod to raise and lower the heating element, it would have been a better choice to make these out of metal or have some kind of stop points on the telescopic pole part of the unit, as the plastic o-rings do not hold as firmly as they should even when they are tightened to the maximum.Other than that though, it's a great unit that puts out a lot of heat in a very quick timeframe so worth it for the price!

This heater is great for our Canadian winters. It is very large so I would say it’s more suitable for large living areas, garage, or the patio. You can mount it up using the provided tripod if you would like to set it up that way. There are 3 heat settings so you can adjust according to your preference and needs. It heats up very quickly too. The build quality is very nice and it looks very stylish. It has an auto shutoff feature along with tipping protection which is also very nice. It comes with two remote controls but the batteries were not included unfortunately. Overall, this is a great heater that I would highly recommend.
