Excellent spf and moisturising properties. Leaves a slight white film, but absorbs very well and is great under makeup base.

As a person with skin of colour, finding a nice mineral sunscreen is extremely hard. I've searched high and low to find one that has minimal white cast and rubs in perfectly. This product is the closest thing I've found thus far to perfection. There is white cast, as all mineral sunscreens are prone to, but for me, it rubs in so nicely and leaves the skin feeling moisturised. Not to mention the added anti oxidants which can help with visible light damage as well. Will be buying again!

I really like this sunscreen BUT I prefer the non mineral version if I had to choose between the two. I have quite pale skin and this does leave a white cast for a short while after application. I would continue to use it without hesitation if I had any concerns with 'chemical' sunscreens but this will be be 2nd favourite for now :-)**edit **On reflection having used the whole tube, I feel it leaves a slippery, almost silicone primer feeling on my skin which I'm not the biggest fan of.

This is my partner’s go to suncream as it’s mineral and doesn’t have octocrylene, oxybenzone, octinoxate etc. which are the bad chemicals found in chemical spf which tends to break her out. This mineral spf is the only product that hasn’t cause her an acne break out with daily use. She does blend it in thoroughly so that the white cast disappears. I have started to use this mineral spf myself and found the texture nice and light.

Used it for a week and ended up with folliculitis; blocked pores all over my face. Texture feels sticky and drags skin; white casting that needs time to settle. Foundation sits on top; leaving make up all blotchy. Not for me; it’s supposed for sensitive skin.

Leaves a bit of white casts that takes a bit of time to disappear. It may be a good sunscreen by itself as its not too oily or dry its perfect consistency as well. Unfortunately if you wear makeup that just WONT SIT WELL. One of the worst ones. My makeup at the end of the day looked so separated and discusting and just to mention it wasnt even an oil based foundation! A no from me.

I use it around my eyes. I let it sink in for a approx 20 mins until white disappears Also on.My neck it starts white and then fades down But I do have fair skin. The reason I use it is I have incredibly ridiculously sensitive eyes and I want to wear spf every day to protect but have struggled for years and wasted so much money on trying diffent spfs It’s such a miserable process if you have experienced this & costs so much time and money. Pretty much every other sunscreen I’ve tried makes my eyes and nose run continuously or makes me skin and eyes itchy or gives me a head ache. This is only one I can wear so far. I even developed an allergy to colour science which lots of people are fine with. It was ok for first week but after that it made eyes run continuously and red and itchy. I’ve been using this black rice spf for over a month and waiting each day that the allergy would Start but it hasn’t .. touch wood Will rebuy from now on and not bother trying anything else. It’s also feels moisturising but dries to a nice skin texture Matt. Not dried out cakey Matt but like healthy skin like smooth Matt. The packaging is great as dispenses right amount with out mess. I’m not sure what would be like in darker skin tone but does fade to invisible to me if I leave it on for long enough before leave house Also it’s an excellent primer for makeup very Smoothing blurring

Works great for sensitive skin. It’s a *mineral* sunscreen, so the light cast is welcomed when you have sensitive skin. Plus, texture mixes very well with a foundation.
