Tractor supply only had metal feeders in stock. I feed my chicks mostly wet fermented feed. This feeder fit the bill.When my chickens are a few weeks from leaving the brooder, they manage to untwist the feeder. Would be nice if it were a little tighter of a fit. Still, I think I might have a bunch of roosters this time around and they're pretty rough. I don't entirely fault the feeder, but a tighter screw design is definitely possible. So four stars it is!

Not really made strong enough and is hard to put on a canning jar

I use one of these feeders for my 4 chickens when they are in the front run (they can still get to the coop out back it they want, where there is more food and water), but I just got 7 day old chicks and needed a feed dispenser for the brood box. I was happy with the price and delivery time, but was shocked to find a water dispenser nested inside this food dispenser! That was perfect timing because the old water dispenser I had cracked and started wetting the brooder bedding. What a great value!!! I don't know if that was an error, or if they do that routinely? But, I'm more than happy with the product and also the bonus!

It doesn’t rust like my previous metal container.

I ran it through the dishwasher. It was easy to clean. It is a bit tricky to attach the mason jar to the top, but once you get it on it is fine.

Its good, however I don’t think its the brand thats pictured. There is no brand labeled on the feeder and it didn’t come with any packaging
