Sleek, love it, but the packaging SUCKS
Super cool, very sleek, weighty and feels like a nice quality especially for the price. Lots of pluses and overall pleased. Awesome motion commands that work most of the time, though I wish there were more of them. Ignition and blade type presets with every sound effect (press and hold button for 4 flashes in standby mode). That wasn't in the manual so that was a fun discovery. Pretty customizable with a lot of blade types, blade colors, and ignition variations. Some of them I will admit are slightly cheesy/carnival toy-ish, mainly the color variations, but some are super cool. Apparently they did correct the charging port I saw in a review several months ago, you don't have to unscrew screws anymore, just a couple pieces on the handle, not bad. Now for the cons; I was very disappointed in the packaging, zero bubble wrap in the oversized amazon box so it was rattling around in there. The cheap plastic cradle that the saber itself was sitting in was busted, it seems it was too long for the area it sits in, so it broke through the plastic cradle. Simple little top and bottom box, nothin fancy, no bubble wrap, plastic sheets, or any protection besides a thin piece of cellophane wrapped around the blade, so it had some decent scratches and scuffs on the handle that I can hopefully buff out. Could absolutely improve on packaging. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my dude, so I wish the presentation was a bit nicer, I wouldn't mind too much if it was for myself. I think I may have had the impossibly tiny no head screws a little loose on the blade because it wobbled a bit and slightly glitched with movement. I think they should've had 4 screws to hold the blade in place and there's only 2, so maybe 2 more would fix the wobble. The speaker is god awful, I was warned from YouTube reviews, only sounds halfway decent on low volume otherwise you can't understand what it's saying at all. Super bright and smooth LEDs, great price, and I'm excited to see the different customizable pieces they come out with. Overall happy, we'll see how my guy likes it come Christmas, I just wanted to get in a review in case someone was debating it for a gift. I'd say it was worth the buy at $145 for sure.

Totally amazing!
This light saber is a hit with my grandson! I thought it would just make a colored light! Maybe a sound… but no! It does so much more! Totally amazing!

Great Entry Level Neo Pixel Lightsaber but a little learning curve.
This is the second Sabneo lightsaber I own. (the first is the V8 2.0 Original)I like the look of the Alpha and for the price you get a lot of nice features, there is just a few nagging things that make this hard to give it 5 stars.Pros: (I am referring to the redesign of the alpha after several youtubers reviewed the first one)*Solid design-nothing rattles and everything seems to line up. It is modular, so if you have two of these, you can swap parts. Sabneo says they are working on new pieces for this one, but i'll wait and see on that.*Speaker is loud: this is also a con (see below)*Blade is Sturdy: I wouldn't go full on sparring, but a little tap here and there should be ok.*The Black metal hilt piece, now has access to the USB-C port*The look is gorgeous (I have the gold (more like a copper) and black one, and it's pretty.*It has a decent amount of sound fonts (with a vocal track to let you know who it is)*The ignitions are labeled with names (stacked, normal, etc.)*The Blade types are named as well (and you get several)*Smooth swing*flash on clash*Tip Drag*Blade melt and force effectCons:* Putting on the blade is a bit of a pain-You have to take the emitter off, and then there is two holes, one in the front and back with two different retention screws (once blade is fastened) you then put the emitter piece back on. The instructions don't mention that you need to use two different sized screws either.* Speaker is LOUD on the highest setting-unfortunately, it only has three settings, high, low, mute. High, is so loud, and some sound fonts crackle at that volume. Low, is almost too quiet.* Misaligned black metal hilt fixed with a rubber ring-So the port on the black metal hilt, doesn't quite line up with the USB-C port, so they "fixed" it with a rubber ring. It's not a huge deal, when you're not charging it, I simply tighten it up, when using the saber, and when I charge it, I just adjust when needed.
