Nf6 the modern 5. e5 is the main recommendation and a big chunk of the book but 5. 0-0 is also covered.Against 4... Bc5 author recommends sharp, rare and risky 5. 0-0!? (von der Lasa variation) and supports it with original research. More solid 5. c3 Nf6 6. e5 is also covered.There are also chapters for the Max Lange Attack, early deviations and sidelines.This book may interest Giuco Piano and Two Knights players too as most described lines are transpositions into these openings.

The best explanation of the Modern Two Knights Defense that I’ve seen
I used to hate it when black continued 3…Nf6 after 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4. Sure, I relished the Max Lange Attack (4. d4 ed 5. 0-0 Bc5), but I always struggled against the main line, 4. d4 ed 5. 0-0 N:e4. The modern line 5. e5 is more positional and I thought it wouldn’t be to my taste, but after reading this book I look forward to it. I haven’t looked at much of the rest of the book, but the section on this line alone is more than worth the price of the book, and I’m confident the rest of the it is as well-written.

A new weapon to add to your repertoire
An amazing review of an unknown gambit which has close ties to the Two Knights and Max Lange defences. Further transpositions are possible all of which are covered in the book where the latest lines are examined together with a useful games collection for further reference.

A good book
Clairement le livre le plus complet sur cette ouverture avec beaucoup d'idées très intéressantes.Cependant, il contient des imprécisions qui mériteraient d'être approfondies dans certaines lignes.L'ensemble reste malgré tout bien écrit et très agréable à lire.
