Great little backpack!
I bought this to use as my "personal item" for an airline trip, which gives you an idea of its size. It fit nicely under the seat and held A LOT of stuff. I also used it like a purse while I was traveling and sightseeing - it's 3 zipper compartments made it easy to store my packable raincoat and hoodie but also to find my attraction tickets and hair ties etc... I also bought it because the description said it was waterproof, but I never had to put it to the test so I can't comment on that feature. The side straps allow you to compress it if you only have a few things, and expand to hold a lot more. It held up great through a 2 week trip with all day daily use. Very pleased with this purchase!

From plane to purse--works great
I was very careful to purchase the right size personal item bag for my once in a lifetime vacation flight. It was great for that purpose. I was able to pack ALL my toiletry items along with my laptop computer, charging cords, and a couple of books in this bag and it still fit under the United Airlines seat. But it was heavy! While on vacation, I used it as a purse. It worked so well for that purpose, that I kept it.Great value. Great storage capacity! Plus, many pockets for items normally carried in a purse: Ziploc bag for odds and ends (lip balm, feminine hygiene, asthma inhaler, dental floss, etc), wallet, phone, checkbooks, water bottle, sunglasses, keys. And because it's tall and narrow, and straps control its depth, I can easily access all these items in an upright position and put them back where they belong when I'm finished using them. Plus there's room to stow an extra sweater and hat without it bulking up out of control.Plus it's 1/5 the cost of the last purse I bought! Thank you, Kono!I'm not sure why it's rated for security features. It's just a backpack with a zipper. There is no lock. So I'm just reading it a three for that, but I don't consider that a flaw at all.

Perfect for personal item on airline
The 16 inch backpack fits perfectly under the seat on airlines. Very spacious too so you can bring lots of stuff. Only issue I had was that the strap for placing on your suitcase was too small.

Backpack perfection!
My husband and I both have used these on both US and European flights as our under seat carry-on. They are fabulous! We fit all our personal possessions (electronics, cords, toiletries, medicines and much more). Could not be happier with the storage room and the fit under the seat!

Ryanair approved!
My son & I each had one of these that we used on our flights between Madrid & Dublin. The bags were great & we had no issues taking them on Ryanair. They held a lot while meeting the European "small bag" standard. I packed each bag with a pair of sandals, two 14x9 inch compression packing cubes, and a small toiletries bag. (Compression bags held all our socks, underwear, shirts, PJs, pants, & raincoats. We wore our boots, sweaters, & jeans on the plane to save room.) With all that, there was still additional room in the main compartment to include a few loose items like extra socks or charging bricks. I put our passports in the front (diagonal) pocket & snacks/phones/wallet in the middle pocket. Since the two main pockets open 180 degrees, it was really easy to access what we needed at any time. We were able to make it two weeks out of these bags with one laundry stop in the middle. The zippers didn't seem super sturdy so I was careful with them, but ultimately nothing broke & the bags served us very well. I would recommend them.

Perfect Size
This backpack was the perfect size to use as a personal carry-on item. I liked that the zipper opened up completely so it was easier to pack and unpack!

16" 20L Model - Small backpack for under-seat airline use
Update: The first travel opportunity I used this, the zipper busted open, almost dropping my things. I didn't have the bag stuffed either, and the zipper wasn't under heavy load. This could be random chance; check other reviews to see if this is a common issue. If you have this bag, use the straps in addition to the zipper. I don't want an exchange or refund. The full review is below. This is a review of the the "16-inch 20L" model. Sometimes I fly, and using my arms to do so is tiring. Therefore, planes are more convenient. This backpack is sized to fit under the seat in front of you when flying, aka a "personal item". The full search term for this type of product is "personal item underseat backpack". Add the word laptop to refine it further, if you need to fit a laptop.Flights, depending on the airline and ticket level, usually allow a "carry-on" and a "personal item" with you when boarding the plane (but some of the cheapest tickets per airline don't allow a carry-on). There are size limits to a carry-on, and also a personal item. There isn't enough room for every passenger to fit their carry-on in the plane's passenger cabin overhead bin storage space, and the airline gate agent will announce this, requiring the carry-on to be checked at the gate, into the plane's cargo storage when overhead storage gets full. This is free on all flights I've been on. However it means you won't be able to access your carry-on bag for the duration of the flight. The solution is to have a "personal item" bag, with the things you need to access during the flight. This product is an example of a personal item bag.I bought it because I needed something to fit a laptop, charger, phone charger, cables, and other miscellaneous items with me on the plane. I also needed a bag with a "trolley strap / luggage strap" to allow it to slide onto rolling luggage's handle, which this bag has, as most do. My 14" laptop will just barely fit into this bag's largest compartment, and it is pressing against the bag at all corners. My laptop's actual dimensions are 14" actual length, by almost 9.5" wide (rounded up). The 14" of length is the issue, it barely fits. However, that's an issue with my laptop, not the bag, as the bag's dimensions are clearly listed. I didn't know if it would fit or not, but it does, barely. If this bag was used every day, I can imagine the laptop would rub holes in the bag eventually. I wanted this size of bag though, this is my fault. The bag itself seems good. Nothing stands out, but it's not bad either. This bag's size category of 15.7x9.9x7.9" is designed to be slightly smaller than the most restrictive airlines' smallest personal item space. There are only a few bags in this smallest size category of 15.7x9.9x7.9"; most are larger in the 18" category, as different airlines have different personal item size limits. From what I can find, this should fit within most airline personal item size limits, even the most restrictive ones. However always check an airline's personal item size limits before flying, especially the ultra-low-cost carriers, as they're the most restrictive.

Tamaño perfecto 👌
Muy conveniente para viajar en avión. Hice varias escalas como en 6 aereopuertos y en ninguno tuve problema para llevarla como artículo personal junto con mi maleta carry on. Además es cómoda y se ve bien 👍.
