A superb French film that alludes to the existence of the djinn. The actual djinn are never really "fully" shown; but they are presented in their true shadow-world between ours. The overall plot and ending are what make this film truly worth watching - heartfelt and thought provoking indeed. Recommended!

Finally, a realistic portrayal of the Djinn in a movie. I would go into details but don't want to spoil a well made movie.

Better than expected, with a good 'twist' at the end. The film has much in common with The Keep, Blackhawk Down, and related films.Movie review: A team of French soldiers are deposited on patrol in the desert during the Algerian excitement.. The team is composed of the usual suspects/stereotypes (hard bitten veteran, 'killing machine', sensitive officer, FNG, etc) and the dynamics between them establish the atmosphere and mood of the film. A lot of the action rotates around an attache case recovered from the plane crash they are tasked to investigate, The case is recovered, and the soldiers take shelter in (what looks like) a deserted Foreign Legion fort. Then things get a bit weird. The local Arabs don't speak much French and the Soldiers are disinclined to take their advice anyway. Outside the fort rebels are circling, and inside the fort the soldiers start acting strangely. Then you see the Djinni...

Un film français sur la guerre d'Algérie. Rare. Mais un film traité de façon fantastique (cad relevant du genre fantastique...) Un peu brouillon mais intéressant.

Illisible... Et sur 2 disques neufs du même code barre....

Schauspielerisch unterirdisch schlecht...Storyline hirnverbrannt...Actionszenen von Amateuren...Kameraführung eine Katastrophe...Sound unterentwickelt... .Fazit: Da bleibt eh nur die Mülltonne!LG, Stw. :-)
