These dice arrived in a beautifully crafted box. The concept behind them is truly cool and serves as a fantastic idea for sparking inspiration. I am a casual painter, when I'm uncertain about what to draw or create, these dice truly helped me think outside the box. It aslo come with stickers in the set, enabling me to create elements that align with my personal preferences. It is also a perfect gift for Christmas!

The dice were much bigger than I expected them to be but it was a pleasant surprise. The cards are laminated and have great color pigmentation. The case is made of wood and keeps everything nicely organized. My brother was very happy to receive this for Christmas and is excited to get out of his artistic rut.

I was attracted to this art game set as a tool for breaking a creative rut or getting past a blank or a block, or even to use as a form of calisthenics. Whatever it takes to get me to more actively practice, right? As a concept, it delivers exactly what it says. I especially love the helpful reminder cards which feature numerous condensed lessons and concepts from design classes and textbooks. Overall, I think they are a bigger asset to this kit than the dice.The dice are OK. Their printing is less OK if you look at them too closely - the color-printed ones appear to use a primer and then print pigment overtop, often failing in alignment. Many of the faces are printed off-center as well. There are stickers included for customizing the dice as well, but it's worth noting that inexpensive blank dice this size are available in bulk from retail craft chains. It might be best to consider this set of dice a jumping-off point for creating ones tailored to your personal needs.The whole set comes in an unfinished wooden case. The lid is laser engraved, the hinges are small but good, and it has a magnetic closure. Nice features, although it could also use a cardholder in the lid, felt lining, and a coat of sealant if you'd rather not keep experiencing its woody scent. Again, there is nothing really wrong with it, but if you're already crafting-inclined, you may find yourself with an unexpected project here.

Recently,I introduced this set of art dice to my art classroom,and it has made my teaching much more enjoyable. No more worrying about what to have my students draw. I have them create based on the games provided in the set. The students absolutely love this teaching method, and they pick up new painting techniques much faster while having fun in the process! The accompanying art cards are also very practical, these cards are about art principles and art elements, which contain a wealth of painting knowledge and skills.The students seem enjoy using these cards to learn and practice their painting skills.
