The roasting does give it a slight bitter note, but it still has a pleasant and strong green tea taste. I do suggest having this with some honey or sweetener or choice to tone down the bite.

When I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised by a robust, roasted aroma. I steeped the teabag in about 8 ounces of boiling water for 5 minutes, and the tea was a beautiful amber infusion, like a fine Darjeeling. It had delicate nutty and toasty flavors. I enjoyed it with rice poppers and Japanese castella cake.It come in a pack of 10, but the tea bags are not individually wrapped, so I vacuum-sealed the silver bag to preserve freshness. The packaging is simple but charming, so it can make it a thoughtful gift for tea enthusiasts.
