It took a week or two of heavy wearing for the shoe to flex enough to fit my foot

Chacos are divisive. People tend to either love or hate them, though most haters just don't like the looks and haven't really worn them.They're heavy and a bit stiff at first. The straps seem smooth but are a bit rough on the skin. They're annoying to adjust sometimes, especially with the toe loop, and they tend to tighten on their own as you walk.But wear them for a while and they begin to settle in. The sole flexes more easily. The straps soften and stop tightening. The Classic Z is a heavy duty hiking and water sandal. It's my favourite fitting footwear of all time. It's not meant to be "minimal". The fit hasn't changed since I bought my first pair 13 years ago - it's wider in the toes, though not super wide, and holds my narrower heel reasonably snug.They're still kinda heavy, but you appreciate the amazing underfoot protection and arch support they provide. They're everything birkenstocks do well and add what they lack: flexibility, good grip, and easily washed to get rid of any funk. And trust me, your old birks (and feet inside them) really do stink and you'll never get that smell out without ruining them.I've now moved on from the Z1 to the Z2, and just love the toe loop. I was worried at first it would annoy me, but it makes the fit more stable and prevents the front from getting caught under things in your way. Chaco does it well.So if you're on the fence about Chaco fit and mostly wear tight fitting shoes, you're in for a big change. All I can say is that you need to give yourself some time to get used to it, especially the toe loop. But you'll be glad you did.

Love the excellent level of support in a sandal, and the fit is very good. It took a bit of adjusting to figure out how tight the straps needed to be (not too tight) and how to manage the adjustments. Not much fussing, but it was worth it to dial all the adjustments in for ideal fit, support and comfort. Now I don't want to take them off.

I'm a 9.5 in mens shoes and sized down to a 9 as many in the reviews suggested. I found that the sandals really pinched the outer edges of my feet. I returned them for the 9W size. The 9W are much better; the straps a just a little long.

The shoe fits. . So i wear it. HahaOther reviews are correct in that these aren't the same chacos one could've bought years ago. Others mention the straps being rough. ALL shoes have a break-in period. This break in period will hurt your feet a little. You wouldn't put new running shoes on to run a marathon.After a week, the straps stopped hurting my feet. Now they are good enough, not great, like my last chacos. I think they cheaped out on this model this batch. Compared to my old chacos, the strap is a mm less in width. And i don't remember it hurting so bad to break them in. Now they are fairly comfortable though, and i guess I'll see where they take me

Been wearing Chaco Z2’s since 2004, I wear them until they fall apart and buy another pair. This is pair #3 for me and they still fit great, quality appears to match previous pairs and I like the new Chaco soles almost as much as the original Vibram soles.

Tried the toe strap out was not a fan. It makes them more difficult to put on.Also I find the ones without the toe actually tighten to me just as well as a regular shoe. I don't see the need for it.

I bought a pair of Chacos last year and loved them. Decided to get another pair, these ones seem like a cheaper quality sole on them even though they were the same price as my other pair. Will see as time passes, but I wouldn't buy them again.

Love Z2 Chacos. This is my 5th pair in the last 20 years. I wear these sandals from March through November every year and love them. High arch support and great foot cradle.

received...OMG....fits perfectly,love it....brings back fond memories,still wearing an old one for the past 20yrs believe it or not...only keep replacing the sole though every 2 year..thnx seller

La largeur est intéressante si vous porter une demi pointure, je porte du 10,5 et j'ai acheté une gradeur 10 mais large.Fait très confortablement

The straps are too long and are touching the floor. The buckles on both the right and left sandal are not at the same hight. The buckle on the right sandal is located too high up and can not be adjusted.
