Motul31721L Gearbox 80W-90 Molybdenum Bisulphide (MoS2) Reinforced Extreme Pressure Gearbox and Differential Lubricant - 1 Liter

My '76 Moto Guzzi 850T final drive requires Hypoy gear oil and a separate MoS2 additive. The additive is difficult to find. This solves the problem. Because the final drive only needs 0.25L, I used the remainder for the gearbox (0.75L required). The benefit is smoother shifting and makes finding neutral much easier. I was surprised by the color. Most hypoid gear oils are greenish yellow, this is metallic dark silver gray.

Used in an older Harley 4 speed. Still shifts good 👍🏼

Mildly difficult finding a good product for the 915 transaxle in my 911 that's compatible with a gearbox and differential in one unit. Both have different oil requirements, but this covers the bases well. Noticable difference in shifting at speeds.

I recently changed the chain on my motorcycle with D.I.D chain. Instructions on the chain box recommended 80W-90 gear oil. Little goes long way - or can get messy.

Good stuff. Made the transmission a little bit notchier when cold but works great and did an unbelievably good job of quieting down some input shaft bearing whine I had. Really exceeded my expectations in that regard.

Just today went to use this gearbox oil in my Moto Guzzi which takes exactly one liter, which is what I ordered. Upon reading the label I see it is a quart container of this Motul 80W-90 gearbox oil. That leaves me with the only option of ordering another container of this oil. BE SURE to check your containers for volume as soon as you receive them!

I own a pristine 1993 BMW R1100RSL motorcycle with a very noisy OEM transmission. I have tried various gear lubricants to quiet and smooth out this transmission which is naturally noisy and hard shifting without much success. This product absolutely made all the difference and I just couldn't believe it! Now my transmission is quiet and very smooth shifting, fantastic! I highly recommend this lubricant.
