I haven't really used it enough, but the main issue I have with it thus far is the slight smell of something burning when it's on. I guess that'll pass after some time. I like that it's dual purpose with a fan during hot summers.

Sets fire to the house
You might imagine that when switched off, the heater would not use electricity. With this one, the heating element stays hot when set to "off", but the fan does not work so the heater gets gradually hotter and starts to melt, presumably catching fire at some stage in this process. The solution is to unplug it when not being used, which is still not a good design because there's no mention of firestarting in the manual, it suggests that turning the dial to "off" turns the heater off.

High value from a tiny homegrown product
Some apprehension about how cheap this was.But so far, the units (I bought two) have been performing as described. Good value indeed!

Put on for an hour In a large place lick hallway stairs to get rid of the strong smell before using fab after that.
