A new knitting designer to me, she certainly knows her stuff! The patterns are very clear and this book would be ideal for someone new to cable knitting as it is all explained for you. Unlike some books the cable patterns are HUGE and super-clear so easy to follow. The range of sizes is also huge covering XS to 6XL, roughly 32" chest to 68" chest. Joan models her designs herself but several, notably the Ginger Zip sweater and Morning Glory vest, would work perfectly for men too. Ideal if you are starting out with cable knitting and would make a gorgeous gift with some needles and yarn.

Beautiful garments to knit and sizing range is great – from XS to 6XL.It is so difficult to find gorgeous patterns for the larger sizes, and this book has it all! Now anyone who wants to knit a beautiful cable sweater for a larger person would be able to do that without too much recalculation and such. Really pleased with my purchase. Book arrived in a timely manner in perfect condition (new) and real pleasure to read and use for my knitting.I will definitely recommend this book for anyone who wants to knit beautiful cable garments.
