I purchased these to hang in a tree for my evening wedding. They did not disappoint. There are numerous settings and while some of them are more akin to a wild rave, there are settings that are slower and nice! I personally like the second setting which lets the lights twinkle softly and dim. I also really like that there is a timer for the lights so you are not wasting batteries.The lights do tangle easily so be sure you have a person to help you or lay out the lights first.

It looks fine out of the box. It is a gift so will tell you later about batteries, quality etc.

These star shaped lights are a pretty decorative way to light a space. I’m using them for occasional power outages, a reading light, and a bedroom decoration. This way I can have lighting that doesn’t need to be charged up while the power is out. Fresh batteries and I’m ready to go.The battery pack has buttons for the basic functions while the remote control has more buttons and options, like the timers.The buttons for brighter and dimmer briefly confused me: the one with the minus sign and a light colored sun dims the lights; the button for “brighter” has a black sun icon on it (with a plus sign though). My opinion is that the colors of the suns oh the buttons would make more sense if they were swapped. Either way, they function and there are a total of 10 possible brightness levels.The various blinking or twinkling options are fun but I prefer to just have the strand either on or off as it’s pretty even without a twinkling or blinking pattern of some kind. The options are many and attractive though,The timer has worked for me for scheduling the strand to turn off after 4 hours.I find these lights to be a good value.

Super cute lights ! They give such a soft , gentle glow . The stars are perfect . We love stars in our family , & these are a winner . Easy to hang up , good battery life . Love these !

I ordered these star lights for the holidays with the intent to also use them on Memorial day, the 4th of July, Christmas in July and Labor day. It is a nice long strand and the light is bright. They look good on a dark night reflecting off the water. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend them.

The media could not be loaded.  These are just basic white, but they're a really good low color temperature warm white, ideal for not ruining your night vision. They come with the typical pack-of-cards shaped controller. It works, sometimes you have to push a button twice to get the strand to respond, but it's definitely usable. Brightness is adjustable, you have several chase / animation modes, and a timer. The remote worked just fine from across the room. The plastic stars are nicely detailed and refract the light well. Mine at least were solidly attached to the bulbs.These are advertised as outdoor, but be careful about the battery pack. The gasket likes to come off and overall I'm not sure how waterproof it is. I'd suggest just putting the battery pack somewhere out of the rain, or inside a water-tight plastic bag (with the bottom pointed down). The battery pack is also fairly heavy, and you definitely don't want to let it hang free, because the wires themselves are very thin.It's the thin wires that are the only real problem I have with this strand. If you've had star light strands before, you know that the stars just love to tangle with each other any chance they get. It doesn't take very much force at all to end up pulling a wire loose, which I did on mine, though fortunately only at the last star. With this type of design, where tangling is an issue, a thicker wire would have been an improvement.But they're pretty, the price is right, and you get plenty of them, so, 4 out of 5 stars.

Edit to add: Seller reached out regarding this review and replaced the lights. Even though we had the issue, seller was quick to correct.We purchased 2 sets of lights. One strand on each set doesn’t work. We tested them before hanging but not every strand. It’s frustrating to go through the trouble to hang only to have them not fully functioning.

I like the star lights, they are nice and bright and bring a happy atmosphere to the back deck. But two of the stars were missing, and the remote is non functional. The lights react to a radio signal though, oddly enough they come on when we use the TV remote. Could be a better product.
