Brilliant
Our old co2 detector came to the end of its 7 year lifespan. Looked on here at loads of different ones but decided on one of these. It arrived well packaged and was complete with instructions and batteries. I fitted it on the wall in the kitchen about 5 ft from the boiler, the screen is small but is easy to read, it switches between room temp and co2 ppm. Every 30 seconds it flashes green to let you know it's working it is bright when it flashes but you only see it when the kitchen lights off, the test button is easy to use and it's really loud, all in all as good as the more expensive ones, co2 is a silent killer don't think you don't need a co2 detector because you do and for peace of mind this is an essential thing to have.

Sensible protection
A quality product, looks very neat and smart once it is set up.To fit it, the back / holding plate is secured with the 2 screws and rawlplugs supplied and you then slide it over and downwards to click-lock it in place. It comes with 3 separate AA batteries and they each have a thin clear plastic individual covering sleeve, and each one of those will need to be removed for the device to make contact and it to function. There is a audible test button to be sure it is operating as well as the window display with current temperature. All very simple to install and to know that you are safe and protected should the worse happen for such a small outlay.

Good value for money
I have installed one of these in my laundry room where the gas boiler is. Its a smart looking piece of kit which lets you know that it is functioning by a regular flash of light. It is robust and was easy to install. Good instructions with lots of information. Gives me great confidence for my familys' safety

Feels premium, temp gauge seems accurate
Im using it in my van, I relied on the previous reviews given by people who know exactly how these work and what they have to have inside to be a good one and so on and so far I guess I'm alive, so its a good one, it looks premium anyway, temperature sensor seems pretty accurate to me, would buy again

Very efficient and does what it says
I had had these for around 3 years and they are still going with no issues. Would recommend these.

Ensure safety Against Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
This was to replace an old unit which had gone passed its working date. Looking on the new one I have just purchased, it has a 7 year life span. So it's important to keep an eye on the expiry date. This manufacturer, thankfully, has not changed the design of the casing so for me it was easy to replace the unit without having to change the wall bracket too. To replace, it was simply a matter of installing new batteries in the new unit and hooking it securely to the existing wall bracket. To test just press the only button on the unit. Caution here as it is VERY loud. Four beebs and the test is done. We have a gas central heating boiler so this item is essential for safety. Full instructions are bay to follow. Recommended.

Good value for money alarm
I bought this to replace one the same that I had bought 5 years ago. It says it lasts 7 years but I bought 2 and both of them gave up at the same time. Think in that time I changed the batteries once. Never had any problems with any of them. Shows the temperature and is pretty accurate. I decided to go for the same again and I didn’t need to fit it to the wall again. Took the old one down and put the new one in the old cradle.

Limited display viewing angle - Easily detaches to check other locations.
Display viewing angle is from about 5° above horizontal to 45° below, so best mounted slightly above tallest persons eyeline. Wish I'd noticed this before fixing. With unit mounted at 1.5m (within range given in instructions) it's invisible when standing and I have to bend down to read it. The display alternates between room temperature and CO readings and it's annoying having to wait (bent) up to 23 seconds before seeing a CO reading. I didn't want a thermometer at all, though wouldn't be a problem if reading alternated more frequently, maybe every 5sec.It's handy that the unit easily detaches from the mounting plate (slides up and off) so it can easily be taken to any other location you want to check. Though if jarred the batteries can then fly out, but a large elastic band would secure them. Will probably use in this way during travels in campervan (house unoccupied) as replacing one unit every seven years is less environmentally damaging than throwing two.Quoted lifespan is 7 years from first use, so I wrote the install date on rear of main unit.I chose a unit with replacable batteries after reading reviews of various 'sealed for life' detectors failing after 2-3 years.Says "Tested in an approved laboratory in the UK" but guess that's the model, not every unit.As test button does not test the sensor, I tested mine by putting it into a glass casserole dish, having first made CO with a gas lighter 'match' poked in under the lid, running till flame goes out. Then put in detector and ran match again till flame died (10 sec) and closed lid. Alarm sounded after around 40sec, reading peaked at 120PPM after 50sec. Now confidentI have a good unit.Instructions available online, search "Mercury Battery Operated Carbon Monoxide Alarm pdf" or "COD100B pdf"
