Great purchase!
Our deck has a very wide opening to the yard. We might eventually fence in the yard, but in the meantime we needed a way to keep the guard dog from chasing every cat, bunny, deer, skunk, bird, bug, and ice cream truck he sees, never to be seen again. We decided to give this baby gate a try, and we’re so glad we did! Installation was pretty straightforward — maybe 15 or 20 minutes. It was mostly a one person job, but a second set of hands helped at certain points. The gate has been up for 3 months now. There’s no sign of fading, and no cracks or tears.Because it’s so long there’s a fair amount of tension. No big deal, but it makes latching it a little tricky with one hand. And, again because of the length, if you’re going to open it you have to do so slowly so the mesh doesn’t kink as it winds closed. (Think about re-rolling a roll of paper towels or gift wrap — it just sorta tends to wind up unevenly. I don’t think it’s a defect, just the nature of anything being wound up)The black is more see-through than I thought it would be, which is great. I love that at night it practically disappears.Lastly, the gate can pop off the hardware— so during the winter months we’ll take it down and store it inside. Hopefully that will help extend its life. We’re really happy with this gate and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or purchase another if the need arose.

Perfect for large openings
We purchased this gate to keep our pets out of our newly remodeled living room. It’s perfect! I love that it is retractable so we can roll it up when the fur-babies are outside. We have a large opening in our living room and this fits perfect. It’s sturdy holding up to my dogs trying their best to get under it (unsuccessful). Its price is very reasonable for the great quality of the product.

ONLY COMPLAINT, too fat of wall connector posts. Other than that, 100% works
I bought this so I could go out and get mail, without worrying about my dogs escaping. Originally, like most people, I was using a baby gate, which is SUPER ANNOYING, as most people will know. Sometimes you can step over it, but most of the times you have to undo it, re-set it, and NO THANK YOU. One dog, my Trapper, a Foxhound/Catahoula is a CHARGER... Zelda the Dutch/Lab, being a female, is more graceful and poised in her attempt to escape. New dog also clearly a hound of some sort and the biggest (formers being 22in, 25in, respectively) at 27/28in also decided to charge at the gate that I forgot to put in "LOCK" position. Both Max and Trapper failed to bust through even when trying to climb under it. They're big 70+LB dogs, with only Trapper being slightly fat. So it 100% works. The only FAILINGS is that the plastic piece that connects to the house is RATHER CHUNKY and gets in the way of closing my door. Didn't realize that was going to be an issue. I can close the door but it's scratching it, and there wasn't enough mounting space really to put it anywhere else. So, if you're doing this INSIDE a door frame, make sure your interior door frame is at least 2-2.5in deep. The reality is, those mounting hardware, don't need to be that bulky. They could easily be slimmed down to about 1.5in without compromising strength or anchoring. I also decided to use longer 3in screws for my interior door frame install since I wanted the added strength and security of them, since if again 140+lbs try to bum rush the screen, wanted it not to get pulled out by the weak screws they give you. There is a lot to love about this system:1) It is very durable and quality feeling. Was easy to install only had issues with mounting the "Catches", that the gate latches onto. I went with an OPPOSING method, Where one catch faces outwards and the other inwards, since I have a very clever dog who could best the system if they faced the same direction. I have the outwards one at the top, and inwards at the bottom. Now, when installing it yourself, I recommend positioning the catch to be both inwards if you want to go that route. THOUGH with that said, the catches DO TECHNICALLY have a "LOCKING" mechanism, where it's made to snap around the handle to secure it even more. On my old house, the door frame ain't the strongest, hence the need to go with 3in screws to actually screw into the true DOOR frame and not the decorative exposed frame.I honestly didn't have faith in this system give Trapper's intelligence, though, the new dog provides a new challenge. Max is a jumper and he jumps my baby gate I have right now. It's super annoying and cool of him. This was kind of proof of concept, and the proof is, it works well. Luckily this company thinks of owners like us with jumping giants, and sells taller options. I 100% recommend this, this is so much better than gates, even the ones with the doors. Since I move a lot of stuff in my house constantly, bins, tables, chairs, large items, etc... so having to fight with a baby gate or the narrow opening of a door-gate system, is getting tiresome. This takes up like 3in of door space when all folded up, which is kind of a lot but easy to maneuver around and I can still get couches out without issue. The fact that it bested both charging males, sold me, and I'm literally about to buy like 10 more.

So easy to use!
We bought this gate to keep my toddlerandy dog out of the kitchen while we were cleaning and cooking. Installation was a breeze and it works great! The spring tension it strong and the locking mechanism helps when the dog pushes against the fabric. The white looks sharp and clean!

So Far So Good, Good Value, Easy installation
I have installed this gate over the front of my garage to keep my dogs from running in and out of the screened in area. This gate allows air flow and some visibility but provides just the right amount of additional barrier to the outside. One of my dogs, who was outside, dove for our cat, who was inside the garage and she kind just bounced off of the gate. The fabric stretched from the roller a bit to accommodate her head but stopped her. I was relieved that it held and she got the message that it was a barrier. I have spent weeks mentally trying to design a removable low wood / lattice barrier that I could instal, but it would have been a lot of heavy material and significant installation impact on my garage. This design is perfect for our needs. I love that this winter I will be able to take it down and store it. And it's very nice looking!
