I purchased handmade very expensive shelves from another crafters website for our cats to “catify” our home. Hands down, this Amazon shelf is the favorite. This is very well made and the hardware provided worked great on our plaster walls (we do not have drywall). It’s super secure and doesn’t move when jumped on. The size (depth) is perfect because cats like to hang their paws over the sides of things. The others I bought were extra wide which wasn’t necessary and not the preference for my cats. I have yet to change to the second cover, and probably won’t because they all love the fake lambs wool. They liked this shelf so much I had to purchase a second one and one of the homemade expensive shelves is still in the box, unused. Unfortunately, I threw away the small step shelves. If you place this wave 18-20” above a window sill on the wall, no steps are needed, and they can look out the window all day. It would be great if the shelf could be purchased alone for a little less money, but I’m not complaining because this is made so well and I love it for my cats.

My cat loves this wall shelf. She learned it in about a day or two with treats and showing her it was safe. It looks very nice and it’s now her favorite spot.

Recently remodeled my office/ cat room and wanted to add something new for my cats. So far we have just put up the bed shelf and they love it! We used some stronger screws and supports than what was provided, but what is provided is probably fine for most cats. My guys are rowdy! I also found that the wood needed light sanding to prevent getting slivers.

Very sturdy and nice looking. Easy to install. My cats really like it. I may buy another one!

My Kitty loves to sleep up here, spy on the dog below her and watch the neighborhood from the window. It went together easily but we opted for some extra support in the wall due to weight. Make sure at least some of the screws go into wall studs.

This is absolutely beautiful. I got two. It’s long enough for an extra large cat like a Maine Coon. I have two Main Coons so I don’t trust that it will hold two and I am adding a reinforcement. For regular cats it’s good as is. I am getting a lot of wows from guests. Cats love it.

When putting the pieces together I realized that not only was I missing 1 drywall anchor and 2 screws to attach the shorter pieces together, but also the pre drilled holes do not align to attach the shorter pieces together
