I measured my dogs typical hard plastic cone from neck hole to edge. I held out the measuring tape to the length their chart claims for the radius of the donut pillow. I knew it would be long enough to keep the dog from licking his injured paws and hopefully be more comfortable. It arrived and the donut radius is no where near what the chart claims; it several inches shorter. He can still reach his paws, both front and back, with little trouble from the pillow. I ordered a "soft cone" instead so we could receive a product that was effective and had honest measurements. I was going to send this pillow back, but we kept it because we noticed it could still block our senior dog from biting at his sides when he has allergy issues. It seems like a comfortable pillow, and both dogs will wear it, but buyer beware that it is not the radius/length as claimed in the chart. If you need to keep your pet away from paws or their tail, get something else.

There was no way my dog was going to allow me to put this thing over her head and muzzle. She was having none of it. I wish there was some way that it would separate and then you could fasten or zip it closed. But not Velcro. Dogs hate the sound that Velcro makes when you pull the pieces apart. Then I loaned it to a friend whose dog was having surgery. Her dog didn't like it either. So - before I give it away to Animal Protectors - I will try with one more dog. My neighbors are getting a new puppy and it will have to be spayed. I will offer this very soft cone alternative to them.. I hope the new puppy likes it.
