Explorations in Beadweaving: Techniques for an Improvisational Approach

Some pretty nice beadweaving designs. First few pages reviews basic bead paths/stitches. Projects include some step illustrations, but many of the designs are pretty complex. With few exceptions, I think most of the designs in this book are for more advanced beadweavers. If you dare to try some of the patterns, make sure you review the basic techniques listed in the design before attempting the weave.

So many beading books show beautiful projects, and people like me with limited imagination are left in a quandry of what to do to customize the design to make it their own. This book helps with that by providing alternates for each project using the same techniques. There is a wide range of techniques shown so even an accomplished beader can find something of interest

I LIKE THE ARTIST'S STYLE AND SOME OF THE UNIQUE WAYS SHE PUTS IT ALL TOGETHER. MOST OF THE JEWELRY I WOULD WEAR, A COUPLE THE SPIKEY BRACLETS ARE NOT FOR ME. I LIKE THAT SHE TEACHES US NEW VARIATIONS OF A STITCH, LIKE SQUARE STITCH VARIATION, OR SQUARINGBONE.ITS INTERESTING AND AS AN INTERMEDIATE BEAD WEAVER SHE HOLDS MY INTEREST!

Great book. 5star due to the designs and the resource listing of where to buy supplies. Love the resource listing of supplies for book and where to buy.That's always a plus.

I expect I will get a lot of pleasure from this book over time and there will be others who will cover the content in detail.My focus is more on the medium. None of the images enlarge when selected, this is disappointing as I rely on the medium to give me that kind of functionality. The images have too much whitespace, as this is a book where detail is important it would be great to have more closeups. Some stock images of tools etc are low quality and appear pixelated which is disappointing.The drawings in the instructions are clear, however they cannot be enlarged. My expectations are that I would get the same functionality that I experience with beading magazines in a book on beading. I look forward to the future when publishers understand the medium better.

One of the best bead instruction books I've seen. Really detailed instruction. Very creative artist. Looking forward to other books by the same author.

Being a self-taught jewelry artist, I find that there are many books out there that are so open to giving great instructions by which someone like myself can learn easily. Kelly has taken bracelets to a new level for me. Was happy with her entries and explanations.

I'm an intermiate beader and wasn't expecting this to be such a useful book. I'd never heard of the author and tend to be a bit skeptical. Boy, was I wrong! I've found inspiration every time I've opened it. This is definitely worth adding to your library.

A good book with some interesting designs

A visually beautiful book, I was a little nervous and I am a first time beader. The instructions are easy to follow though and it's creative enough to keep the artist in you motivated.

Je trouve un bon livre pour le début de l apprentissage do beadwork, par contre, c'est un livre de plus. Pour moi il n avait rien ajouter de nouveaux. Mais pour qui ne connais rien do beadwork, peut commencer par ici.

Bekam eine Mail, dass die Ware beschädigt an den Absender zurück geschickt wurde, man aber leider keinen Ersatz für mich hätte... zumindest bekam ich mein Geld schnell zurück - insgesamt eher enttäuschend!
