Leadership In The New Normal

This book gives an updated view and guidance of leadership qualities that we can use for most everything we do. I heard General Honore speak and was captured by his insight and experience. In a later conversation, I was impressed with his grasp of difficult leadership questions. His extensive military experiences give guidance for so many non-military situations. His book is going to be used as Christmas gifts to my friends this year.

General Honore is an American Hero. His experience and understanding of leadership is highlighted in this book. He’s a great example of what America can muster when challenged with extraordinary circumstances. Great countries produce great leaders when the need is dire. General Honore is a perfect example of American exceptionalism at a time when we need it most.

I read this book in a weekend. So simple yet full of poignant lessons. I highlighted a number of key points and have referred back to it several times during my work day.I like the fact that each chapter is summed up with key bullet points. Makes it very easy for review of concepts.Appreciate the final chapter on being a leader at home. Not many books of this kind address this issue.I've ordered 37 copies of the book and plan to provide one to each of our candidates in the Executive Development Program at LSU and the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities at LSU.Thanks to LTG Honore for writing such a fine book on what we all must know as leaders living and working in the new normal.

Outstanding, easy to read, understand and spot on. Much you have heard before but LTG Honore's credible, clear, succinct and no frills delivery should resonate with everyone. The concept of "new normal" is key and speaks to the concept of "tactical actions have strategic implications" since anyone with a cellphone has a vote and even though sometime irresponsible, can carry severe implications. LTG Honore continues the discussion that leaders must grow, continuously evaluate, look at causes and effects of their decisions, think big picture and most importantly not be timid when doing the right thing.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. It should what teamwork is and what it means. The biggest team is your family take care of them and they will take care of you.
