Scuba Choice Scuba Diving Compact Finger Spool with Plastic Handle, 65', Orange Line

Great value and as an addition to my scuba diving equipment. Will admit that is not the highest quality, but for the price will do what I want it to.

Bought this specifically because of the foldout handle for reeling it in. It is made from plastic which I knew, but that means those handles are kind of flimsy and I could see them breaking if you're too rough with them. Only other suggestion is that I would like to occasionally use it without opening the handle, like a normal finger spool, which could easily be done if the center hole was bigger. The snap is overkill and that's actually good, but I replaced one with a smaller one out of preference...nothing wrong with it. Otherwise, it's a great product, and like I say I was attracted to the design. Was split between this or an aluminum reel, and ultimately settled on this because I liked the design being the only one like it I'd seen. If they could make a version made out of that, this thing would be sweet! That may also double the price though...for what it is, I'm highly satisfied and would buy again. Might be hard to use with gloves...

A decent product, especially for snorkelers.

For the money this thing is perfect. I hate having a bunch of stuff hanging off my BCD and this is small enough to keep in a pocket until needed and works great. It does take a bit longer to wind back in but if your only using this for emergency or once in a blue moon then I think it's completely worth it.

It seemed okay but the string snapped on the second use. Had to surface, swim to my flag that was floating away and tie the string on again or we would have had to end our dive when we just started.

I added a carabiner to it and etched in a little groove in the plastic to simulate locking the rope when diving. works great, small and for 60' or less dives, works great.

The plastic is kind of cheap and not very durable, I just use it when I need to have a dive flag above me and I can hold onto it. I have also unclipped the rope and slid a 2lb weight on the rope so I can leave the spool with the weight and feel comfortable leaving it down while I am free to go anywhere. You get what you pay for, and it works and serves its purpose but it is rather cheap.

Nice reel, good quality, and the winding tab makes it easy to wind back up.
