Torque sensor better than cadence sensor!
12 months in. Still satisfied. Use ebike daily, on roads and trails. 2,600 miles. Can't beat the price considering it has torque sensor, while most ebikes below $2k use a cadence sensor.Eden comes with front-basket, fat tires, front shocks, front light, ergonomic handlebar grips, back rack and did I say torque sensor. The fat tires allow me to ride on dirt trails with ease.Top speed is 28.3 MPH. Confirmed.Cons: One drawback is weight, which i accept bc great price and strong motor. The bike turns heads! Everyone asks me about it.FREEDARE customer service responds quickly by email. The bike texts me if it is moved when in "lock" mode. Helpful.I assembled at home, but I recommend shipping to local store to have them assemble it and confirm everything tip-top; the box is heavy and simply not as easy as it seems to put the darn thing together. Def two-human project.By the way, be safe and get the "Loud Bicycle" mini horn sold elsewhere; it's actually a car horn, for a bike. And get $300 anti-grinder lock by Hiplock or Litelok.

This bike does it for me. It’s cardio and fun. It’s relaxing and has the ability to work you out. You pick your ride and it has a nice speed and performance is unmatched. Look at it, it’s gorgeous. Like I said im in love with it.

Pretty dog gone good ebike
This is big, heavy, solid, powerful and fast ebike. Geared a bit too low for class 3 28 mph speeds, however. On throttle only the bike will go 28 mph. I ride the bike in class 2 normal mode and the gearing is good to 22 mph which is fine for me as I ride on class 1 and 2 bike lanes. To switch from sport (default 28 mph) to normal mode (20 mph) the use of the Freedare app is required, there does not seem to be any way of changing modes with the bike computer alone. I usually ride in normal mode PAS 1 and may use PAS 2 or 3 to go up hills.I found the saddle a bit too firm for my butt so I replaced it with a cloud 9 cruiser select saddle and a suspension seat post. A good improvement in ride quality. I find the best tire pressure compromise between comfort and handling to be 8 PSI.The bike came with a defective battery, the battery would not charge. I contacted Freedare customer support with the contact tool on the Freedare website and was able to get Freedare to replace the battery under warranty. Freedare sells ebikes, accessories and replacement parts on their website. I did save some money buying the Eden ebike on Amazon vs the Freedare website.Overall I recommend this ebike as it is several hundred dollars cheaper than comparable fat tire ebikes with torque sensors. The torque sensor and throttle work well and enable an enjoyable ride. The only real shortcoming is the bike is geared a bit too low for a class 3 ebike. Replacing the 14-28 tooth Shimano freewheel with a 11-28 tooth freewheel should fix that.Update: Replaced the freewheel with the DRIFT MANIAC 7 Speed Freewheel for E-Bike 11-28T, Now I mostly ride in 6th gear at 15 - 20 mph and 7th gear is good for speeds up to 28 mph.

Beware
I've had this bike since May. I've ridden it less than 200 miles. It's never been ridden in the rain. It's never crashed. But it won't turn on and I've been dealing with the manufacturer for 2 months. Had the battery checked. Did the tests they required. They said it must be the controller, they sent a new one. It still doesn't work. I told them that I thought it was the LED display. No , they said. Well it's not my first Ebike and I've had problems with the display not letting it turn on. So I've got a $1600 piece of junk sitting in my driveway and no recourse. I certainly don't recommend buying this product.

Beast of a bike
I am so glad I decided to purchase this bike. The color is beautiful. I had a hard time assembling the bike, but the customer service was better than expected. I don't think I'd get the same personal attention as a bigger company. It gets me up steep hills with no effort at all. I have only taken it on paved roads so far, and plan on upgrading the suspension post before going off reading with it. It is a higher step through, so if you have trouble getting on bikes, be cautious. I have significant femoral nerve damage and it is slightly difficult getting on and off, but once on, I have no issues. The seat is pretty comfy. I like it has a very bright light in the front and a red tail light. The helmet from them is pretty cool too, it has a light on it as well. I'm 5'8, and considered plus sized. I would say it would be too big for anyone shorter than 5'5. My daughter is 5'2 and weighs 110lbs and this bike is too big and too heavy for her.(She's 16). Mine came with front and rear racks, fenders, and a helmet. Great package deal. I studied many bikes before buying. I came across this bike on reddit the day I had decided on a different bike. I honestly was swayed by the color. And I'm SO glad I bought this one. I feel like this company will soon be a popular brand once people see these bikes on the road!

Total Quality But One Heads Up:
I love the bike as a whole. There is no doubt about it's quality & performance. The one downside was that one of it's main selling points, the App you can use with it, in the manual & assembly instructions, there is no mention what so ever of the app nor was there any mention where to go to download it. I had to reach out via email (no phone to call) and they helped me and actually called me (overseas service) and we did get this App downloaded and up & running. I bought a cell phone holder on my own given it did not come with one and now I am totally enjoying this bike. Speed is more then needed and again, the quality is unreal. It is built like a tank! I highly recommend the bike but also strongly encourage the manufacturer to add App instructions into the Manual.

Will update later
Reviewing this as a first impression, the bike is great and feels pretty easy to turn and peddle despite its huge size and weight. You can use this bike with or without the app, with the app you can change between 3 top speeds (19km/h, 32km/h, 45km/h. The app also features a 'lock' feature which simply turns the bike on or off (nothing fancy with the wheels unfortunately.) Using the app with the bike as far as I can see allows you to use your phone AS the controller, changing pedal assist levels, headlights and power modes. You can also set a password in the advanced settings menu so that when you turn on the bike you need to input a password to use any of the electrical systems. This is VERY good for if your bike gets stolen and you dont want it to run out of power (which I assume the bike needs for its GPS tracking.) The GPS tracking is also pretty accurate but I don't think it updates that often, it places the bike withint ~10 or so metres of where it actually is though.

Very disappointed with the Freedare bike. Poor customer service
Do not recommendRating: ★☆☆☆☆Review: If I could give 0 for a review I would.I recently purchased the Freedare Bike, and my experience has been extremely frustrating. Here are the main issues I encountered.Power Assist Issues: The power assist feature is not working properly, which defeats the purpose of having an electric bike. This has been a major inconveniences. The bike is way too big and heavy. They call this a walk thru. I can't even pass my leg over to get on.Poor Build Quality: The front wheel is loose and can't be tightened feels flimsy and cheaply made. The frame and components. I am concerned about its longevity.Assembly Issues: The bike was difficult to assemble, and the instructions provided were unclear and confusing. I had to seek additional help to get it set up properly.Customer Service: It's been 5 days since I reach out to customer service for refund and having the bike picked up. This was there response, they suggested I gift the bike to someone else, and they would give me $100. The bike is $3,000. This is unacceptable and has added to my frustration.Overall, I am very disappointed with the Freedare Bike and would not recommend it to others. I hope the company addresses these issues to improve the product and customer experience.
