Blade Vol. 1: Mother Of Evil
I**.
All of the first five issues collected
This vol 1 collection of the first five issues is nice for any comic book collector that enjoys Marvels best vampire slayer. It is like having a book and each issue is chapter in its own right as one reads and follows along with the story of Blade and his adventures.

Blade is back!
Awesome run so far, we get to see blade in a high stakes story that can reshape the marvel universe. This story can propel Blade too new levels of power. I can't wait to see how strong he becomes as he taps into his vampirc power.

Easily the best blade comic run, but that's not high bar to pass
Title may seem like i didn't like this comic, but i actually thought it was great.I only removed a star because it ends on a massive cliff hanger. but other than that its was a great read.Highly recommend to black fans and comic fans in general.

A great return
Blade gets a stylish and fun return as he struggles to rectify a mistake he made regardless of the road it will take him on.

Meh
Just felt meh about this whole book. The artwork is not what I would want from a modern comic but I guess the colors are nice. The story is a very fast read but it's also very rushed with too many clichés and of course, only the beginning.Honestly, did not care for this version of Blade both personality and appearance wise. He does not look like what he looks like on the cover in typical comic book fashion. Thought it was kinda weird at one point addressing a situation he sarcastically says "goody". It was coool having Dr. Strange involved though but after coming away reading this, I don't really care about the rest.I will say, Adana (the bad guy) is an awesome character that makes Blade feel weak in comparison but that is the point I suppose.

Not Blade
The writer wrote Blades character all wrong. He was rash, undisciplined, arrogant and a little childish. Worst of all he was easily fooled I don’t know who this was but it’s not Blade.

The Queen's gambit
I wanted to huge this book 3.5 stars but ot deserved a round up instead of down. Every Blade story can start with a Nightclub as a nod the awesome movie. This is my favourite comic version of Blade. I like the artwork (though i do think they made Blade look a bit too skinny), the action (one strike kills work perfectly for Blade's fighting style), and the story is good with huge repercussions. The only downside is that the book is way too rushed. The panels jump from one place to another before I have a chance to process anything. There is no chance of character development. Just get to the next part quickly, trying to cram everything in.I can't wait yo see what happens next, but I do hope the next volume is a bit slowed down. This is a great book for any Blade fan. The book finishes with a varient cover gallery.
