I had used Alfred camera system, using old and retired cell phone, specifically a mix of apple and android devices. They worked great until something popped up on the screen, needing me to address the notification. And this ALWAYS Happened when I was on work travel. I bought three of these, two were to replace cell phone cameras and one was a newly placed camera. I now have a 180 degree view where it was difficult to place the cell phones with the same view. They are also waterproof. Very easy to mount with screws or a very sticky pad, both included, along with zip ties for the cables. I waited until a few bad snow storms here before posting a review. We have had two snow storms and last night was an ice storm. I have had zero issues with them working in bad weather, freezing temps and at night on low light mode. Best part is that I can add cell phones to this set up as well, as I still have one cell phone that I need to keep active. The app is also so simple and the pro plan is ridiculously inexpensive.

I went for the Camera Plus for the 2K viewing (which btw there are 2 types of 2K viewing: Regular 2K and 2K Supreme. Supreme is the only one that requires a subscription.), stellar Night Vision viewing, versatile mounting options (screws, brackets, 3M tape, and MAGNETIC (Which is actually quite strong!), and ease of Installation and setup, AND Local storage recordings!Just plug it up, mount it, get the app, have the camera scan the QR code on your phone and boom! You're setup!With all that said, a lot of features are within the subscription service (Zoom, 2K Supreme Viewing, Longer Recordings, etc), but for $30/year I feel like it's not bad.Bottom Line: This Security camera is fantastic (even without the subscription) and well worth it!

Worked great for the first 8 hours it was on! The next morning I noticed it was offline in the app, so I followed all troubleshooting steps on the alfredcam help center. The device now will not turn on, and can not be factory reset via pressing the reset button. I've tried multiple different USB-C cables and wall adaters in addition to the one provided, to no avail. I would say it's a great quality camera for the money, but obviously the quality control seems questionable.Update: I returned the item and opted to replace it to try again, and this unit is working properly after 3 days, so suffice to say, I feel the last one was possibly a fluke dead unit. I would at least advise purchasing here through Amazon to take advantage of easy returns if you happen to have similar troubles! Overall I would say I can recommend this camera after all.

These are amazing cameras. You don't even have to turn on the night mode at night it records night time perfect without even turning on the night vision. Highly recommend. These are amazing and the app is free to use and it's very simple an user friendly. Very easy to secure your home or business with these cameras an this Alfred app.

I have been using Alfred for YEARS with just an extra phone, then the indoor camera as of last year, and now the outdoor camera. The ease of use with the app is what I like most. Everything is at your fingertips.The infared lights work well and clear 2k Super quality (down to simple HD) makes this a game changer along with AI subject tracking.I am hoping they come out with a batter version for the outdoor camera ASAP as that is the only negative thing I would say and not worth taking away a star over.Alfred for the win - always!

At first everything was going very well I fulfilled its work correctly until one day I disconnected from my WI-FI network and could no longer connect again for more attempts than ise could not yet restarting the camera completely barias veses , maybe it was a manufacturing defect or maybe it does not have good quality and durability the product.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: I adjusted the alert settings to only alert for people and vehicles. This helped tremendously. I am very impressed with the night video quality. You cannot beat these cameras for the money. I am comparing them to my Arlo cameras and these are better and with a more consumer friendly subscription plan too.I really love my indoor Alfred cameras and I was very excited when they started selling the exterior cameras. I have been using Arlo as my outdoor security camera system. But Alfred has a much better, cost effective, subscription service.I ordered two Alfred Plus exterior cameras. Unfortunately, it started to rain at 3:15 a.m. last night and the camera woke me up with over 30 alarms in rapid succession until I turned off the alert function. I have the camera set at the lowest sensitivity and that did not help. Long story short, I can't allow the camera to stay in alert mode or I won't get sleep. This makes them not appropriate as a security camera. It's very disappointing to me. I would like to move away from the Arlo system completely, but this apparently is not the answer.I will continue to try different settings to mitigate this problem. And I will update if I find a solution.

I appreciate the Alfred app that this camera is clearly made for, and it's super easy to set up and select the options you want for individual cameras. Except a lot of alerts, the Alfred app has been reliable when using old phones as cameras, but this product solved a major problem with using just phones. I have a Lorex system at another house and it too sends these same types of alerts. Alfred for indoor using phones is not a problem, but I'm not leaving a phone outside that's all logged in and plugged into power. This camera solved the image reflection when phones are aimed through a window because it can by mounted outside. This is my second camera since they were made available. I mounted them under eaves to protect from direct weather, and was able to angle the image to be able to see outside day and night. "Person only" motion detection works better at avoiding false alarms than with the phones, but it's definitely not perfect. The image quality is quite clear day or night. Nice job, Alfred.
