I purchased these to use in a metal building for hanging small LED lights. Since the service I was attaching the lights to was made of thick metal, this saved me from having to drill holes in the metal which would have required a better drill and bit than I have. So I attached this magnet to a square piece of wood using a little better wood screw than what was provided. I was then able to attach a single electrical box to the wood, attach the small light, and once wired just place it anywhere I wished that was metal. The magnets are strong and have no problem holding the weight of the small wood board and light. Plus with a little extra wiring I am able to move the lights if needed. NOTE: only one side of the disk is magnetic, the casing around the magnet reduces the strength so that it barely holds to metal. I recommend these for your DIY projects.

I will be using them for a " kitty corner" access for cats to litter pans. Cut the latch side of door 45 deg, piano hinge and magnets to keep it open.

I decided to stack them up like coins like the small neodymium magnets come. that was a mistake! now granted I'm not a young man anymore but dang once I stacked them up like that I could almost not get them apart. I guess they came not stacked for that reason. chuckling at myself.

Used (2) 100 pound ones to hold curtains to steel header on brick wall opening, using conduit and conduit clamps.Use #6 flat head machine screws to hold magnets to conduit clamps. Any bigger screws will not let magnet sit flat.

These work OK, but they are not stainless, nor are the screws, which were too short for my application. The force between two of these pulled the screw out of plywood within a week.

The magnets are strong. They are about the size of a half dollar. I use two of them to hold a tarp on a thin piece of metal. The magnets held the taro in 50 mph winds.I would recommend them. No corrosion, works great.

TLDR = hold great, easy to install, easy to break.Easy to break if you tighten these to much. They are good otherwise and the cup around is great.Install could not be easier with the screws that come with it.The have a good hold, 2 magnet can hold a 12ah battery pack from a tools company with a light on it without slipping.Would buy again

Used on reclaimed wood cabinets. The wood thickness variation makes normal cabinet magnets useless. These pull them shut nicely.
