Bought for my 15 yr old who wants to learn to crochet, she was delighted with it

This is a great well-rounded kit to start crocheting. All the main components you would need for most standard projects are here. So be it a YouTube tutorial or a pattern book you are reading. For most projects the key items needed are hooks, stitch markers, and a yarn needle, so this has you covered. Only missing a pair of scissors to be fair.I kitted for years but had to stop due to a dexterity issue with one of my hands. But decided to try crocheting as I thought it might be easier considering my issue. So I was starting from scratch when it comes to crocheting supplies. So this was a really nice way to start, and the little bag is perfect to keep everything in.As you can see I have already used up most of the yarn that came with it, making some very cute granny squares to get started. The yarn is of nice quality as well feels very soft and is easy to work with.Huge selection of hooks, honestly more than I will likely ever use, so that's good. Also happy to see the addition of little sundries you need like markers and needles.My only small mark against this kit is that the yarn that comes with it isn't wrapped, so there is no marking to tell you the weight of the yarn and the recommended hook size. As a previous knitter, I was able to make an educated guess on that, but I could see a new start getting confused by not having that info. But other than that, this is a brilliant kit to get you started with everything you need.

As someone who hasn't crocheted before this set is a little daunting as there is so much here. All the different colour bits and pieces have me wondering what each bit does and why you need so many. No doubt once I get started with learning everything will be revealed. The attractive zip case comes stuffed to the gills with all the wool, needles and other bits shown, and if this is not enough to get started I don't know what is. This entire kit is well under £20 and would make a great present for anyone interested in learning or already experience in Crochet.
