A Fantastic Tale
Okay so this is one hell of a take on Beauty and the Beast and let me tell you I am absolutely here for it .I loved all the characters, the way that relationships are developed , and the world building going on. I raved about this book to all my book friends and I can't wait to read the next one.

Slow at first
I will be honest I was getting pretty bored up until I had read 40-50% of the book, but I pushed through, and I am glad I did. You don't see what is coming and I love it.

Interesting take on the fairytale
I wanted to pick this up as both main characters have physical scars. The way the author creates a world beyond the beauty and the beast aspects was very interesting with the way Lunae worships the moon and their stories of how the element are gods sand I liked the concept of the mate bond,it's a mate bond triangle. The characters of Abby and Quinn are nuanced and I liked them but somehow I felt like Abby sounded juvenile. There are some classic scenes and lines from the fairytale which was cool.

Intrigue!
I have loved the story of Beauty and the Beast. As, I got older I love wolves as animals. Thus, loving wolf shifter romance novels are great! This book has both of these. I could not put it down. The twist and turns were amazing. I am anxious for book 2. PLEASE HURRY! I can't stand being in such suspense!

100000/10
I’m picky with any twist on any sort of Disney inspired books. this one? I LOVE it. Ashes and Roses hooked me in so deep and threw me through emotional loops. Very enticing and it will hook you. I also love a good werewolf fantasy series. I recommend this book for anyone. Pallet cleanser ? Light read ? Try something new ? Ashes and Roses is it !

A new twist on a classic fairytale
This book had a slow start, and I wasn’t really invested in the characters until about halfway into it, but by the end, I couldn’t put it down. Despite the slow start, I loved Quinn from his introduction and found it impressive how well Snook kept the main elements of Beauty and the Beast but twisted them to fit within her fantasy world. The more I read, the more Abby and Quinn's interactions reminded me of Jane and Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. Though Abby embodied most of the pride and prejudice Jane and Darcy are famous for. Like the classic romance, Abby and Quinn take a while to trust each other and both have plenty of reasons not to fall in love (especially Quinn). Quinn and Abby’s romance was a highlight of this book because of how opposed to falling in love they initially were. Their romance was not a smooth journey, but that made it feel more genuine, and I was glad there was no third-act breakup when the story could have easily gone that route.Quinn, in both human and monster form, the magic system, and the curse were the best aspects of this story. I am eager to read the sequel and learn more about the details of the curse and what other magical secrets and creatures will be revealed. However, Abby was a hard main character to like. It felt like she never really existed before the book started, all she dwelled on before the action began were the sacrifices she made to save the poorest of her people and taking walks in the garden. It's clear that she's suffered and wants to change her circumstances, but she doesn't do anything. So it was hard to see her as a fully fleshed-out character initially, but she grew on me as she learned how to mature after meeting Quinn and befriending his people. The one major drawback I had that negatively impacted my reading experience was that I hated the bad guys. I usually love to hate evil characters, but I just disliked them this time, and I never trusted this character even before they were revealed as pure evil. Anyone who believes it’s okay to kill innocent people because of what their ancestors/leaders did is worthless in my eyes. Revenge is difficult to fully execute without hurting innocent people in fiction, but it can be done. However, when characters don’t care about who they harm in their quest for revenge, they become flat villains with little possibility of an interesting character arc. The main antagonist is Gaston's counterpart, and he’s awful for no reason aside from arrogance, so I think the author did a fantastic job in her fairytale retelling. I hope the sequel proves me wrong about the flatness of the antagonist. I’m excited for the sequel and seeing how Abby, Quinn, the world, and the romance develop.

Devoured this book
I just so happened upon this author and I’m so glad I did. I absolutely loved this book. this is nothing like I thought a retelling or inspired on beauty and the beast would be. It was so much better and had twist and turns that I never saw coming. I’m hooked and waiting for more..

A fantastic read
I throughly enjoyed this book. Some reviews said it’s a little slow at the beginning but I actually don’t think so. There were a couple twists that I kind of expected to happen but the author made me second guess myself so when the twists came, I was genuinely surprised. This book is definitely worth a read and I can’t wait for the next one!

Riveting
I absolutely devoured this book. Loved everything about it. The story is fantastic, and i loved the characters. Some we got to know more than others, but i’m assuming they’ll be featured in the next book(s). I love how perfectly imperfect our FMC and MMC are and really enjoyed the spicy scenes (grrr). I honestly forgot i was reading a book and was so excited at each turn of the page. NEED MORE !!
