Well packaged, smooth and neatly painted. Heavy and large, no chips or crazing so far.

They're so pretty! I was worried they'd be a little too delicate for normal use, but they're sturdy enough. I wash them by hand just to be extra careful because I want them to last a long time.

What do you say about a bowl? I bought these because of the fish design. It was something different. The size/depth is great for rice dishes, soups and even as serving bowls. I wash them in the dishwasher with no problem.

Thick, high quality pho/ramen bowls. They exceeded my expectations as I thought they might be tippy with the small bottom, but they are just solid.They get very hot in the microwave so watch your hands.

These are beautiful, well-made bowls. They are heavy and the perfect size for ramen, other soups, stews, or pasta. I will be getting more of these Japanese retro dishes! I love them!

Do not get me wrong. Theses are nice bowls. May be a bit heavy and rustic, but still nice. However, the main reason I purchased them is because the name says “Japanese Ramen Bowls - Japanese Retro Ceramic Bowls”. Says Japanese, so it must be Japanese… Right? Wrong! These bowls are made in China. I would have known if I scrolled down to the Product information part of the page. No one to blame but myself for buying an imitation. But it still feels like I was ripped off.

I really like how beautiful it is and feels sturdy as well. Just keep in mind, it's not glazed so using metal utensils feels like nail on chalkboard.
